Fantastic at what she does! Experience and expertise clearly shows in every class I attend. Not only do I learn how to teach my puppy but the reason behind why I am doing it makes everything fall into place. Highly recommend :)

The great thing about Katey and Pooch Paws is she doesn’t just teach you the how, but the why too. For us, that meant we were able to continue with the principles she taught us and adapt them to our needs. By consistently applying those principles we’ve been able to work with our dog through all sorts of situations, including a very difficult adolescence and a long period of ill health with medications that affected his behaviour. We’ve now come out the other side with a dog that an experienced breed club senior member described as a joy to spend time with. Is he perfectly behaved 100% of the time? No, he’s a living, breathing animal with a mind and character all of his own. Do we have the tools to adapt to the surprises and curveballs he throws us? Mostly!Don’t expect to go to classes and have Katey teach your dog to be perfect. Instead, listen and learn as YOU are taught what your dog needs from you to display the behaviours you desire. This isn’t dog training, it’s owner training, and so much more valuable for it.

We've been part of the Pooch Paws school since the summer & have had the best time learning together.Katey is incredibly knowledgeable & the results with our labradoodle are so impressive. We had some 1-1sessions too which accelerated our learning even more. We're taking a break from Pooch Paws to welcome a baby into the world - but the skills we've taken away from our time there will be absolutely vital to being able to manage our big old pup with a small human around!During our time with Katey, we've had lessons over zoom & lessons outside in a secluded field in Ellingham. Katey's professionalism & skill has shone through in both situations & she really has made the very best of this troublesome year.A HUGE thank you to Katey & her team for the care & attention Loki has received over the year. We'll be back for sure!Ruth, Al, Jasper & Loki.

My partner and I have attended Pooch Paws training classes with all 4 of our dogs and I also attend gundog training with my Hungarian Vizsla, Zoe. The classes are always fun and with regular practice of the techniques we've made great progress; even during the lockdowns Katie organised for the classes to continue on Zoom! Katie has a real understanding of dogs - and their handlers - we would (and have) recommended her training to other dog owners and we would never go anywhere else.

Sadie has attended puppy classes since she was 12 weeks. Katey has always managed to keep classes fun, interesting and effective. Sadie loves her and behaves so much better for her. Excellent with both dog and handler! Very patient with both! Can’t recommend highly enough. We are now attending 1-2-1 sessions for specific issues! So professional and still fun!Richard

Our 3 dogs took an instant liking to Katey who is warm, friendly and highly professional. We have had private home sessions for 2 of our dogs and they have responded extremely well to the tuition given and Katey has trained the pair of us well too. We are very pleased and grateful for what she has achieved and we will be following up by joining the group sessions with our excitable Frenchie. Thanks Katey.

I would highly recommend puppy training with Katey Aldred at Pooch Paws Dog Training Club.My miniature poodle Jasper is now 9 months old and we have just completed our third training level course. The first 12 weeks were completed at home via zoom and the second 12 weeks at a secure field on Ellingham. Each location threw up its own challenges but these were overcome with patient guidance and invaluable advice from Katey.Jasper has come so far in the time we have been working with Katey and we will definitely be continuing our training with Pooch Paws as soon as we are able.Katey has a wealth of experience and is always willing to share this and to help with any individual issues that arise. Our training sessions with Pooch Paws have been fun and informative and has helped so much with building my confidence in relation to training and caring for my puppy. Thanks again Katey and we look forward to working with you again sometime soon.Pauline and Jasper

Super trainer. Really informative and so helpful giving me clear instruction on how to train my cocker spaniel. Who just loves Katey. Thoroughly enjoying all the classes.
