Murdock London Soho

Had a fantastic experience today at Murdock, Soho… Yes, a very cool environment but I must say, Ryan, my barber was not only extremely personable but extremely informative to my particular type of hair and hairstyle…. And a beautiful haircut to boot…… I highly recommend Murdock and needless to say, the lovely Ryan…. Thank you, both! Cosh.

Ryan has been cutting by my hair for 12-months now and every cut has been sensational and I’m a fussy man who loves his hair too much. I also enjoy seeing Ryan each time and we are slowly but surely becoming buddies. Absolute dude too! And I’m very happy I’ve found him + I enjoy all the Murdock hair products. This review might seem over the top and maybe not real but it is and I am just a Happy Customer of Ryan’s. THANK YOU!

I've been twice now to have my hair cut by Anni, best decision I've made to switch barbers as Anni has given me a perfect haircut both times. Can't recommend too highly, lovely relaxed environment and so happy with my haircut.

As we entered the Barbers shop, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome followed with some refreshments, my son was then introduced to the barber who took such care of my son’s hair cut.As I waited, I felt relaxed environment where everyone looked so happy.My son at the end was very pleased with his haircut and delighted with the service.Highly impressed and definitely a must return in the near future.Thanks Cristina and Ryan for such great service

Great haircut and my barber Francesco I think he’s name is is a great barber. Only giving Murdoch four stars cos the place was dirty. All the shelves where the products are were so full of dust like it hadn’t been cleaned in months! Also all the doors of the countertops had all the paint scratched. You’d expect a little bit more from a place that charges £48 for a men’s haircut and especially in the location it is. But my hair looks great. Just hire a better cleaner Murdoch

After relocating to London I had been trying out different barbers till I found Ben Vowels at Murdock. I have probably gotten more than 10 haircuts from Ben since then. The barber shop is also clean, has a good vibe, conveniently located and reasonably priced. I have heard positive reviews about the other barbers working here as well.Highly recommend checking them out

Booked in here because I heard it was great. Went online Booked for the next day. Was offered a drink on arrival and told the FoH fella that I was having a nightmare day and had a few issues at work that I needed to sort so I had ONLY 40 mins and needed to be back in work within that time. He passed it on to Ryan, my barber, and they had me back at work in 35. However Ryan, didn't give me any less than what I was paying for, I still got a great cut, a great chat and the wash included with 'The Haircut'. Really impressed. And cheers Ryan. Very, very happy!

Hands down the worst haircut I’ve had in years. I asked the barber for a skin fade and he said he “didn’t like that look” and decided to give me a different cut altogether. He forcefully pushed my head back and forth throughout and used the clippers in a very heavy handed way. At the end he ripped the cover sheet from around me causing hair to go all over my clothes (a clean work shirt and suit) and despite seeing this didn’t even offer to brush me down. He didn’t show me the back and sides until I asked to see it and generally had a very blasé and slightly arrogant attitude/too cool for school (like he was doing me a favour by cutting my hair, rather than appreciating the fact I was paying him £40 for a 30 minute back and sides trim, and constantly called me “mate” in a somewhat condescending way). He appeared rushed and more concerned with finishing his shift and clocking off rather then giving me a half decent cut. The so called ‘blend’ is atrocious (see photos). Suffice to say I won’t be going back ever again. This feedback is for management (I’m sure you can figure out who the barber is) and reference for anyone considering going here for a trim.

Pablo is an enthusiastic and talented Barber, who really remembers his clients; knew my haircut after one visit! Very consistent and pleasant experience.

Ryan has been cutting my hair for a year now. Always perfect and have tried different styles, really engaging in the consultations as well as extremely helpful for styling and products and a really nice guy!Would 100% recommend!
