Meg/Megan - stuck up, miserable know-it-all. Refused to sell a hamster because we were “impulsively” getting a pet because we were asking questions about friendliness and said to “come back tomorrow”. Partner went back in as I refused to and she refused as I wasn’t there so couldn’t sell. Came up with a million excuses to not sell for no good reason. Doesn’t matter if we were to buy today or tomorrow and quite frankly found her to be rude. Will probably tell her manager that we were “unfit” to look after the hamster but if asking questions before you buy means you’re unfit? Would rather ask questions so we know which hamster is the right fit for us. Honestly gobsmacked and certainly won’t be going back tomorrow when being treated like we are stupid.

Very disappointed indeed!Unfortunately, six weeks ago I had a very costly visit to the Veterinary Surgery at 'Pets at Home' (Oxford) and as suspected my dog 'Freddie' was diagnosed as having contracted 'Kennel Cough'.Freddie was already booked into the 'Grooming Section' of the same store to have his regular haircut and additional treatment so I thought it best to advise them of him latest condition. As 'Kennel Cough' is highly contagious, it was agreed that the appointment would need to be rescheduled at least six weeks later, despite 'Freddie' being in serious need of some immediate grooming attention!Regrettably, I failed to write down the time of the appointment and therefore I attempted to call the store on the agreed date to confirm the time. The first call was at 8:14 and the second was 8:19am and as there was no answer I hurriedly readied ourselves and headed to the store as I knew that it likely an early appointment anytime from 9:00am had been previously scheduled.Despite the usual early morning traffic we were able to arrive at the store by 9:17am and entered the Grooming Room. The lady on Reception informed us that they had cancelled our appointment as we were over fifteen minutes later than their policy would allow and that we would have to reschedule. Knowing how far in advance one has to book such an appointment and mindful that we will be away for an extended period of time in just a few days I plead that they would be understanding of our situation and see us as arranged. It soon became apparent that they were not interested in helping us and I suspect that they had already taken on another Client. If they had answered my previous calls or called me to check our intentions from the start of the appointment time (9:00pm) then it would have been known that we were on our way.I requested to discuss with the 'Store Manager' however a regularly uniformed Till Clerk came over claiming to be the Manager and was only able to side with the Groomers.Needless to say, we will not be ever being purchasing any products or services from 'Pets at Home' again and we have been in contact with the 'Head Office' to convey my experience and to cancel our V.I.P. Membership. It seems they are not concerned with keeping regular good paying Customers...Forewarned is forearmed!""

I've been using PAH for years as they are close by. I feel there are not enough staff on the tills though, or to ask for info, and have usually waited ages for my parcel to be retrieved when doing click and collect". But the staff are generally friendly and helpful"

Do not recommend ever buying a pet from here. In the past I have brought pets what look unfit but was reassured that they are perfectly healthly" when In fact they have been miss treated and are seriously ill but they stilled sell them to me willingly knowing this. Also have issues with rude assistants who refused to sell but wouldn't say that to our faces and wasted over half an hour of our time with no reason and different issues everytime. Disgraceful customer service."

We bought all our stuff for our new puppy. We didn't have a clue what we wanted but the staff at Pets at Home were wonderful and talked it all through for us.They signed us up to the loyalty card and this gave us a good discount to get started.Since them we have returned and again the staff were so helpful.Would recommend

Great advice on fish care, lovely friendly staff, the only downside was a lack of live plants for my tank

Good place for pet treats. It has a vet in-house with a grooming parlour if that's your thing. Lots of animals to see and take home. A relaxed atmosphere as all pets are welcome!

A large pet product warehouse for all animals. Conveniently located on botley road in Oxford. They sell all kinds of products, including pet food, litter boxes, cleaning stuff and medicines. Their products are made for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and many more. They also have some rabbits and furry animals for sale. They also have many types of fish.At the back of the store, there’s a vet clinic. Their service is great too!Highly recommend a visit if you’re a pet owner!

Worst place pet shop I have ever been in we went into the shop to get a hamster for my misses got told we cannot get one which I literally got a cage ready for it. Megan the lady assistant manger was shocking had no people skills I was asking questions about the hamsters about the inclosure the hamster they live in also she lied to us to get us out of the shop saying it closes at 6:30 when it closes at 7 ,disappointing I will never go back in due to her disrespect she needs to polish up her skills up !
