I have found the service from David & his team to be excellent. They are reliable and prompt. David is very proactive with this suggestions and everyone on his team is courteous, polite and friendly.I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone

The Green Garden Co was owned by Davi Scott who really knew his stuff, never any problems. However during the summer of 2023 the company was sold, thereafter the service was non existent, scheduled gardeners just not turning up. Trying to communicate with new owner impossible whether phone or email. Don't really know if the company is in existence any longer. Shame really David Scott was good.

Beware this outfit. Clear decline in quality of the garden maintenance since the change of ownership. My neighbour noticed the same. Both of us have stopped using them but Terri (owner) will not return our sidegate key and is now ignoring both me and my wife's phonecalls and texts. Hard to believe how dishonest and unprofessional some people can be. Spare yourself the money and hassle and avoid.

We can’t recommend this company highly enough. We have had various gardeners over the years, and this company are by far the best. They do an excellent job, and regularly go above and beyond. They show great expertise in what they do, and are always pleasant and helpful to deal with.

I'm not sure what's 'Green' about this company; the only not so green thing I notice each time they visit our neighbours is the noise and petrol fumes from the power tools they use. No hand tools like a broom for example, but petrol powered leaf blowers. This is not a customer review, but rather an observation and nevertheless entirely truthful.

BEWARE this company has changed hands and is no longer run by David Scott. It would also appear that the gardeners that David had no longer work for the new owner. My mum has used this company for the last 3 years with no issues until the beginning of the year when the grass cutting started. The first cut had areas where they missed cutting the grass, almost like he didn't know how wide his lawnmower was.At the next cut he was asked to go the other way to catch the bits missed last time. The final cut we got was the straw that broke the camels back. The appointment was for half 1, however they turned up unannounced at half 8 giving my elderly mother a scare as she didn't know who was in her back garden. The state that the lawns have been left in though is just shocking. The back lawn looks like bombs have gone off with all the holes that have been gouged into the grass, and what grass is left is so short it's down to the soil. The front lawn whilst it doesn't have any holes again the grass has been cut right down to the soil. During these cuts they did not have the grass collection box on the lawnmower so then proceeded to try to take the cuttings up from the lawn and sweep up what they could. There was about 3 of grass cuttings left in the stones. The person who cut the grass was challenged about the state he left the garden in and said it was because the grass was wet! He also said that he had bought the company for his daughter! These people are not gardeners and do not know how to look after your lawn. AVOID at all costs.I have asked for compensation to cover the costs we are now paying to repair the lawn and was told they would deliver soil

Beware! This company is not run by David Scott anymore. Since the change of ownership, garden maintenance care and leadership deteriorated drastically. The gardeners turned up unexpectedly early without warning of the change of time before the garden recycle bin was emptied at the end of June. They were in such a rush a planter was broken and a fresh stem of roses was cut. When the new owner was asked to ensure future visits to occur after the brown bin had been emptied, there was no reply. Then it was a no show on the next scheduled visit in early July. On taking up with the owner on the phone (after 2 unanswered emails), she claimed no knowledge of the no show and emails failure since taking over the company (funny how she did reply to an email asking for a missing invoice in early June). A team of two men was sent a week later to rectify the no show but only one man was actually working when the other was on the phone during the whole job. Then the invoice arrived charging for three men’s hours. When challenged, the owner did not even remember only two men were agreed in the first place (and stated clearly on the invoice / job sheet). A revised invoice showed discrepancies in the company’s bank account details between the invoice’s email and the invoice. The repeated administration and management issues demonstrated clearly the company is unable to deliver reliable and acceptable service. I have taken my custom elsewhere.

Punctual, organised, friendly, professional, followed clear instructions, gave advice on plant care and future care. Highly recommend this company, even finished with a tour of what had been done.

BEWARE. As other reviewers have said, since Terri Galloway took over The Green Garden Company from David Scott the quality of service has dropped off a cliff. I had engaged GGC (when under Mr Scott's ownership) to carry out bi-weekly 2 hour visits to my great-aunt (vulnerable and in her 90s); under Mr Scott's ownership GGC were excellent. However, Ms Galloway took over the business in June 2023 and since then the quality of gardening has been appalling; gardeners simply don't turn up; when they do turn up they don't work for the agreed time (e.g. in the last 3 visits, rather than 2 hours each time, we received 90 mins, 60 mins and 15(!) mins), yet Ms Galloway charges the full amount for 2 hours and chases vulnerable customers who do not pay. And to top it all off, Ms Galloway hides from any contact and will not respond to numerous emails, phone calls and WhatsApps (that I can see she has read). By demanding payment for phantom work, GGC are defrauding vulnerable customers. Trading Standards are investigating.

It is very sad that the garden company has been taken over because it used to be great. When Mr David Scott owned the GGCo it was excellent but now the standard has dropped completely. I was forced to instruct the gardeners what to do yesterday due to the lack of initiative and would be surprised to find if they are qualified gardeners.
