Ben provided a fantastic service to us on a recent project to re-design our dilapidated garage into a space which could be used as a home office and play area for our 3 boys.He spent a lot of time understanding our needs and then made a number of changes to the initial design as we wavered on some of the details.He also provided excellent support when our initial plans were rejected by the council and he helped us to collate additional documentation to enable us to overturn the decision.Ben has always been on hand to answer our queries and has been a pleasure to work with throughout the process.Thank you Ben

We used Stonehouse & Co Architects to undertake the submission of a Planning Application to the local authority for the splitting of our large residential and combined commercial property. The planning application was to split our main residential dwelling into 3 residential dwelling houses whilst retaining a further residential dwelling and a commercial property that had been previously granted.Ben (the director of the company) was very knowledgable and understanding of our needs and intentions on our first telephone contact and a site visit for that same week was arranged.We initially had our own thoughts and plans in mind however, Ben came up with alternative ideas and suggestions that would make the layout and design for the change far better and with a budget that would be significantly reduced with the possibility of a greater financial return.Ben visited the site on numerous occassions undertaking all the necessary work for the application to be submitted. Ben was always polite, courteous, professional and friendly and was always available by phone, text and email should we have had any questions, issues or concerns.Ben highlighted the possability of issues that may be raised by the local authority highways department. With this in mind, Ben arranged for a meeting with the local authority planning department which both we and Ben attended.Ben liased tirelessly with the local authority both prior to and following the submission of the planning application in order to ensure that the planning application went smoothly with either little or no opposition.The application was successful on first submission and this was due to the hard work, knowledge and commitment that Ben had undertaken.Ben's knowledge and work ethic is second to none and I would very highly recommend Stonehouse & Co Architects for any planning need.Ben is now undertaking all the necessary works with the local authority following the submission of the respective building regulations for the project following which, Ben is going to liaise with a number of building contractors in order to tender for the work.Stonehouse & Co Architects are a 10 out of 10 company which we would definitely and highly recommend.

Ben has guided us through every stage from the planning stages where he designed us a really attractive and functional extension to still being there to guide us through the build. FANTASTIC IDEAS BROUGHT TO LIFE ...We engaged Ben to draw our plans to change an extension. Building regs. didn't allow our first ideas but Ben came up with a new and original idea. Ben designed our extension with the interior and exterior in great detail including the construction techniques and materials used.
