OK but not what we expected. If you want tapas style food and/or pizzas you won't be disappointed but if it's more a la carte options you want, this is not for you. Wine prices a little on the steep side and given that they don't take cards, be prepared to make a visit to the cash machine. This review seems a little out of step with others, but I really did expect more. A return visit is unlikely!

Been here for a couple of special occasion meals and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious, we enjoy getting small plates and trying lots of things on the menu. He slow roasted pork belly and the pizzas in particular are amazing. Service with a smile and we always feel welcomed.

We 'discovered' this restaurant when looking for somewhere to celebrate a family birthday, different to the usual chain pubs.The owners were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for us, the food was delicious with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, including the pizza. We will definitely be returning as a couple, to sample more of their menu and support a wonderful local business.

We enjoyed a family birthday gathering here and absolutely loved it. Vegetarians, vegans and carnivores were all catered for. Service was superb and the food was absolutely delicious. It's wonderful to have a corner of Italy right on our doorstep. A big thank you for such a warm welcome, and for making this such a special birthday.

A nice welcoming Italian restaurant. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Did small portions for kids too. Couldn't take card payment on our visit but not sure if that's a temporary thing. Accepted cash or a bank transfer.

Without doubt one of the best meals I have ever had.The belly pork dish was fine dining quality .So tasty and tender.Highly recommendedLovely couple very friendly , service spot on and great atmosphere and decor.Visiting again for bottomless pizza!!!Five star plus

We visited The Phoenix to celebrate our anniversary and what a beautiful evening we had. Food was incredible! Lovely atmosphere and the owners are great. Aperol spritz was also delicious! A little taste of Italy in a small town!
