My pony did very badly at this yard, he was underfed and myself and my Vet were lied to by Karen Gillingham as she attempted to cover her tracks. She lied repeatedly to us about my ponies care. I was alerted to her neglect by a former employee, who advised me of their practice of 'skipping feeds and inadequate haying'. I removed my pony and was subsequently taken to the small claims court by Mrs Gillingham for not giving her notice. I won the court case on the basis of her inadequate care of my pony, compensation was awarded to me. My case was strengthened by witness statements from my Vet, the former employee of Mrs Gillingham, and two ex-liveries whose horses had also lost considerable weight when at Morley Farm Barn. If you are considering taking your horse here on any basis other than DIY, I would strongly urge you to think seriously. My pony nearly died at her hands!

I have had my horse at Morley farm barn now for over 4 years. It's such a fantastic yard all the liveries are friendly and helpful. Karen has been there through thick and thin for me and my horse, my horse arrived really poorly after being rescued and Karen has turned it around, I even have people commenting how fab my horse looks. She treats all the horses like her own and how she remembers all the different foods amazes me! I would highly recommend Karen and Morley Farm Barn to ANYONE. I'm not sure who posted the other review but i'm guessing they really don't know how to care for horses maybe there's is a machine to them?????

Lovely friendly yard

A fabulous, friendly livery yard! Nothing is ever too much trouble and each horse is looked after like they are their own! Karen has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is always on hand to offer her advice and expertise.

Staff and facilities very good. Always a friendly face! X

I was at this yard for just under four years. I never really had many problems, but here are a few shall we say. sometimes I’d visit and my horse wouldn’t have much water, or hay baring in mind I paid them to look after my horse, I felt more could have been done. On a recent event, before me leaving this yard, my horse at 6pm had under an inch of water in his bucket and absolutely no hay. ( maybe as I handed in my notice to leave) I’ve heard from a few liveries that are still at the establishment that the owners have nothing but bad mouthed myself, not repeating some of the names as it’s disgusting, but “lazy” and my two horses wouldn’t survive with taking them to my own yard. Well I paid these people £325 a calendar month for him to be looked after 5 days a week, which wasn’t always the case, and recently heard from a friend their horse wasn’t particularly looked after either there. I’m the summer you still pay the same, but you don’t get the work put in, the fields are alway over run with horse manure, so they claim to poo pick, but don’t.I went up to ride not so long ago before moving my horses and he’d been ridden with a fresh sweat mark, and my groom bag out, I hadn’t been asked if someone could ride, someone had helped themselves to my horse, who isn’t one for having just anyone ride.I’ve been in a new job for 7 months, and was called lazy obviously because I had a career change and working towards qualifications, and because I obviously had him on part livery, I was called lazy and more to other liveries, but lovely to my face.I could be here all day with more negatives than positives. I’ve spoken to a few people and have asked how I lasted as long I did at this livery yard, and they wouldn’t recommend it anyone, and that was a saddlerys comment.Being told more horror stories By them also.
