Terrible service, wish you could give less than 1 star. The GPs don’t keep to appointment times. GP appointment booked for a morning. Move all work meetings to accommodate and then the GP tries to call at 3pm and 3:10pm during those moved meetings. The GP didn’t even try again after that.Given how unreliable the Old School Surgery is, I tried to go to a private GP and now need a referral but Old School Surgery GP insisting that they call me (not even seeing me face to face). Now been told I have to wait a month, in pain, before the earliest GP appointment. All Old School Surgery seems to do is block progress in your medical case and cause unnecessary prolonged pain and stress. Speaking to some of the receptionists (not all of them, I should add), it’s like they get pleasure out of it.

I waited in the queue on the appointments line starting in 5th place and after 2 hours I was in 2nd place. So at that rate it seemed to be at least 40 minutes on the phone to each patient. Unfortunately it was after two hours that my line was picked up and then hung up without actually getting to speak to anyone.

Worst GP surgery I’ve ever been with, which unfortunately coincides badly with an extended period of illness that they are both unable and clearly unwilling to diagnose. Doctors are rude and dismissive; extensive efforts to self manage for weeks before seeking help are met with annoyance rather than respect as it’s not as easy for them to tell you to go away and self manage if you’ve already done it!Throwaway explanations for symptoms that just don’t fit, refusal to correlate all issues together; they repeat the same, obviously unsuitable tests over and over instead of looking at different options/conditions… any prompt to follow a lead to diagnosis is provided by me, never them. Wrong, often biased, info regularly recorded indelibly on medical records and communications from other health providers appear to be skim read and pertinent info missed, leading to further possible wastage of resource, which is then pinned upon the patient rather than the actual people responsible.I know it’s extremely hard to be in this sector right now and I have every sympathy - this is why I am mindful of only approaching when there is true and valid cause! Yet still met with impatience, indifference and annoyance when seeking help after so long of trying to soldier on without it. Truly wish I didn’t have to see another doctor ever again as I have over time developed a severe aversion to them but it simply isn’t an option when living with but a fraction of the functionality that would allow for a decent life.As a side and more positive note, I’ve always found the reception staff to be pretty kind and helpful! Not to invalidate anyone else’s experience of course but they’ve always seemed efficient and capable from my point of view.

I would like to thank all at at old school surgery for the wonderful service. First for Dr shah, her quick reaction may have saved my life or from having a stroke. Then Dr. M. Rehman who has been great keeping me informed, subscribing medication. Sarah one of the nurses, nice personality, very profesional. Spoke to Mr. Karia recently, again along with all, easy to talk too, gave me an update on my health. The reception always polite.I am very happy at this surgery. P.s. Using the surgery regulary for the last 8 months.

Receptionists and GPs, although very busy, do their job well and are approachable enough. Shocking booking system means you can rarely get through and can't request to be called at a specific time. Drs Kirk and Shah have helped me to get to the bottom of a condition, although it has been tricky with the lack of resources. I would suggest utilising the complaint system as this was very efficient and helped me to get further support. Also, get assigned to a specific GP as this helps to get you consistent support, although you have to be prepared to wait.

I received a text informing me that my med's will be reduced if I don't comply with appropriate monitoring, even saying I would be taken off repeat prescription. I have sent in my blood pressure results & seen the asthma nurse. I was due for a med review on the 21st, so I HAVE compliedVery disconcerting & unnerving as I am on blood thinners (3 mini strokes in the past due to my heart throwing off clots. I am high risk. I am also on heart medication & under a consultant.I once had so much faith in this surgery, it was one of the best - not anymore.I would like to add that the receptionist could not apologize enough, she gets full marks.I am left wondering whether the right hand knows what the left hand is doing.

Why do the some of the receptionist feel the need to be so rude and aggressive. They are just receptionist at the end of the day but some seem to think they own the surgery and are doctors themselves. It's not a luxury to need to see a doctor but a medical need. I bit of empathy wouldn't go a miss. If you don't enjoy your job jog on and don't make us suffer.

The service is getting worse. If I could give no stat I would. She said has to wait another 4 weeks for blood test if thumb still hurts. It's hurting now and I may go abroad next week. She changed her mind said yes to book the test and it can next week. Reception gave me the end of June but today is 6th. She said I can't have it before that. I am changing the sugery.Tried to book the appointment to see Dr for my hypertension and asked to earlier this month. They offered me 3 weeks after that day. I pay NHS every month and what I got, bad services. Do you want it or not? There is no others earlier than this"

Confused and upset. Struggling to be able to trust these people.I have spent the last few years begging this place for support. It took literally more than three years for me to even be seen in person, nearly 3 years of me continuously complaining of pain. None of it has been properly examined, still. I am at a loss as to what to do. A Dr told me they did not know how to diagnose me, then told me I definitely did not fit the thing they did not know how to diagnose. I’ve been told “I don’t know much about this” to then have them dismiss it as though they do. I want referrals to specialist but I get brushed off by people who simply don’t care enough to try. And to top it off we’re expected to wait up to 2 months for an appointment that is likely just phone call, and a waste of energy.I have considered switching surgeries but I am terrified of more of the same. I just want to be able to trust the people in charge of my health.I realise everyone is pulled very thin right now but I do not believe that is an excuse to mistreat people. I have been lied to and gaslit long before covid began and so already have medical trauma, I cannot cope with this. There have been files misread, letters not sent or mis-sent, dates misread, examinations half arsed or fully skipped, and it all results in me wanting not to bother.
