Free car park for visiting Epping Forest. The View, Epping Forest conservation exhibition is across the road together with the Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge and Butler's retreat tea room. Chingford Plain lays out in front of you.

Car park now charging, but it's deliberately put in the back corner so you don't see. That way they can catch you out and fine you. Nothing on entrance to show that it's now chargeable. AVOID.

You need to pay for parking now and parking signs are not obvious. Last time we parked, there were cars waiting in the middle and completely blocked the parking sign. Got a fine and appeal was rejected. Be careful!
