I can't recommend enough to visit the distillery and taste its delicious gin ! Hugh's passion for his products and business makes the visit really unique and interesting. The effort put into the sustainability of the distillery is very inspiring.We wish him the best for the years to come !

Fantastic gin, they are so passionate about their product that there are no short cuts in the quality. I love drinking it, enjoying the consideration that went into it. Would make a fantastic gift, it's unusual and beautifully packaged.

Explorers gin - our absolute favourite. You can taste the quality and the packaging is tops too. So much so, we have ordered our refills now! The service has been excellent and personable too. Slight mix up on the sizings of the refill but Hugh sorted this out immediately and service and help was second to none. Would highly recommend this gin and supporting this locally run business.

Amazing trip for 4 of us. We did the short tour. Hugh was so interesting and had so much passion for what he does. Great tastings of gins and latest experimental spirits. Focus on sustainability is awesome. Gin is lovely too.

I heard about Hugh and Downton Distillery by word of mouth so contacted him to arrange an online Explorers Gin cocktail making evening for a family birthday celebration. Hugh sent everyone packages with essentials and we had a great fun couple of hours learning about gin, distilling and cocktails. Really recommend.

Picked a bottle up in passing at silverstone after trying a small sample, my mind was made up as soon the first drop touched my tongue, a superb complex taste sensation, by far the best London gin I've ever experienced!

Very high quality artisan gin and clever eco friendly approach to use refillable pouches that can be posted back for refill. Top marks and an essential for a true Hampshire / Dorset drinks cabinet.
