I ordered the fishcake to start which was £8. I could have got an identical fishcake at the chippy for £1. My main however was nice enough. The service was OK.

You are warmly received by Emily when entering the restaurant. Emily was very welcoming and professional.Menu is limited but what you receive is of high quality, recommend a chefs special to make the selection a better experience. All the staff provided excellent service and it was great to see that all worked well as a team. Keep up the great work.

Staying at the Donnington Manor Hotel, the Chartwell is attached. The hotel would also get a 5* review also.Firstly, the host who served us on both days (Deep) went out of his way to accommodate our wants. My colleague and I were so impressed by his service and needed to acknowledge his efforts.We had the salmon and sea bass on the first day - as recommended by Deep. These are both amazing dishes and highly recommended. The accompaniments are so well balanced and served, you have to try them.Day two we had the lamb shank and fish and chips. Again, both prepared freshly and cooked perfectly. Deep bought us out the changes we'd asked for the day before without us having to ask. His greeting was warm and those little touches made the experience memorable.The prices are so reasonable, I can't find fault.

Dhimant and chef Amro looked after me in the restaurant. Had the chicken, mango and Avocado salad with a delicious dressing . Looked beautiful tasted even better. Very good service too. Thank you

We went to the Chartwell restaurant today for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal lunchtime and Evelyn looked after us really well. Couldn’t fault anything. We’ll certainly be back. Thank you.

Dhimant was very helpful and friendly. Also the cook Amra was very good. Also Alice was very helpful in telling us about the area. She also stayed after her duty to help us. All very friendly staff

Great authentic experience. We visited after the Churchill residence visit. We had the sea bass with vegetables and potatoes that was excellent. Awesome flavors. Dessert was gingerbread with chocolate and caramelIrresistible! Service is great. We loved it!Beautiful area to walk around.

We loved the food it was so good and my boys said its the best food they've ever had. The service was good really enjoyed my Sunday.Chef Amro was good, i didnt even look at the menu just saw the food being served someone and asked for the exact order and it came just as i had seen and was delicious.

Lovely afternoon tea, attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere. We got this afternoon tea experience as a gift and my wife and I loved it. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.
