Homebase - Newcastle Under Lyme
We purchased a kitchen from homebase. From start to finish Mark Lenton was brilliant he couldn't do enough to help us he explained everything to us he was very helpful.Any questions we had we emailed him and mark answered straight away.We went other places for a kitchen but went back to homebase. We would highly recommend homebase.

Homebase - Newcastle Under Lyme
I would like to give 0 stars but I have no option. I have bought a piece of wood which was marked at £8.50. However after checking the bill I was charged £21 for the piece of wood. I have already used the wood, but went back to the store to ask why I was charged £21 instead of £8.50. The lady at the till said they won't refund the price and I have to return the wood for full refund. The manager of the store said that it was my mistake as I should have checked the price when I have bought the wood. You can clearly see the price in the attached picture. The Manager was not helpful and was not accepting their pricing mistake instead blaming me that I should have checked the bill before leaving the store. In future I will not shop in this store as the store manager is very rude and blames customers for his colleagues mistakes.

The guy serving on the floor was extremely helpful and took time to explain our intended purchase. On the down side there wasn't a customer toilet available. Not helpful if you are a diabetic who's traveled from Shrewsbury.

The only DIY store in Newcastle under Lyme , overpriced, limited items. If you need ply, MDF or any decent wood forget this place, ok for the odd item like screws or paint. Upside is they do have a nice little homeware section as you walk in

There isn't any stock. Paint testers not in stock in all colours, hardly any paint for interior wood unless you want white or green, no lining paper but a few odments, no skirting board but bits and bobs of expensive board. Just a waste of a 25 minute drive.

Big and spacious with plenty of parking. Large plant section outside but strange mix of plants.Oddly a fair amount of Farrow and Ball paint reduced in telhe paint aisle.Friendly staff

Always get what you want here. Offers advertised and they actually stock them unlike most of the other big diy stores where you have to order online. Nice staff too.

Lovely store, staff very helpful, wanted to buy small greenhouse. Out of stock, wouldn't let us buy the one on display even at full price. Said we could have it at full price ok but then manager then said we couldn't have it, presumably as they would have to make another one up. She also said they are coming in a couple of days, but if we ordered it delivery to shop we would have to pay delivery charge, even though they were delivering them to the shop anyway?!! We left it and found there was one in Homebase at Telford so we drove over there to buy it.

Well stocked store . Had everything we went for. A tad more expensive than another store selling identical items (potting compost plant food and weedkiller) Free limited time parking on site. Automatic doors handy for trolleys buggies and wheelchairs.
