Awful service for my elderly mother’s will. Left her completely disorientated with no idea how to move forward and no follow up.Spoke to an incredibly patronising lady when trying to sort it out.Wouldn’t recommend to anyone ever.

We would highly recommend Lightfoots! The process to buy our housewas extremely challenging but both Sameera and Karla were brilliant throughout and without them it probably would not have happened on time. They were super professional, efficient and went far and beyond.

I was excited over my purchase, as one of many buy to let property. I thought if I pay more like £2000, they must be super good, fast, responsive and reliable but turned out I have to chase every single week since past 4 month. If I call or email either I would be ignored or would get a response following week. I think big firms like lightfoot have to much work, that's why they can afford to do this. Just hope they finish my work or I might have to transfer everything to different firm.

I needed advice on how to handle an issue with my employer and Charlotte was able to meet quickly, gave me excellent advice and quick responses to my follow up emails and messages.

AVOID!!A torturous experience from start to finish. They had us running around after various bits of endless paperwork for weeks. I was surprised they didn't ask for my scouting certificates and swim badges!After eventually being approved for a bridging loan we learnt that that doesn't mean that you are actually approved. This is the point when they actually start doing anything resembling work and when they do they throw up a series of obstacles for you to overcome at the eleventh hour. These are of course unattainable within the timescales that are left. Alas, we had to seek alternative funding.However, the whole experience cost us nearly £3k....for nothing.Complain? I wouldn't bother. The ranks close and the line is that unfortunately you signed a contract with us"However

Avoid Avoid Avoid. Extremely poor communication via email, never pick up the phone when the case is in progress but very quick to send you the bill. Melissa and Hayley had been disappinting.

So disappointed with Service we got from Lightfoot Solicitor.we had Bridging loan case and they couldn't completed it by the dateline and been invoiced £2800.There is No communication,No answering calls or clear explanation untill last day before the dateline .

These conveyancers are acting on behalf of my buyers and after nearly 6 months, the sale has still not completed. At the time of writing, they have delayed planned exchange and completion dates no less than 6 times due to various oversights and 'missing' documents and signatures. This has incurred significant daily interest charges on the mortgage. My solicitor has been unable to contact them by phone for the past couple of days and is finding it equally frustrating as they rarely respond to emails either. I am told that the buyers have also been very unhappy with Lightfoots and at one point were unable to contact them for nearly 2 weeks. Completely incompetent it seems. DO NOT USE.**UPDATE** Another day gone buy and still my solicitor and estate agent are unable to make contact with Lightfoots. It's interesting to note how quickly they responded to this review but how difficult it is to get a response to any legal issues. I cannot stress enough how poor their service is. My solicitor, agent and buyers are exasperated. AVOID.

As another reviewer said, a tortuous experience from start to finish. You will only deal with an administrator, not a conveyancer or solicitor. They aren't able to put together a simple list of what's required, and keep coming back like Colombo for 'just one more thing'. In trying to sort out a loan which was for international transfer, I lost about $50k in exchange rates while they stuffed about for months. Under no circumstances would I recommend this firm. Do not use them.
