Avoid. Like many other posts, my premium for a 3 year old, fit and healthy dog increased by 40%. I phoned to query and they could offer no explanation nor showed any interest as to why I wanted to cancel the policy. Despite confirming the cancellation, they continued to deduct payments for a further three months which I have been constantly battling to have refunded.

I've been with LPC for almost 7 years with my dog. I've been fortunate enough to only have ever made one small claim and the whole process was very easy and hassle free - which I will give them absolute props to.I renewed our lifetime policy a few days ago, as it renews every year, this year up 21% from last year. We've just moved and requested the address to be changed. I wasn't contacted at all and received an automated email to say the changes have been made and my monthly payments have gone up ?... The issue I have is the lack of communication/customer service. For a long time customer I would expect a phone call to say no problem changing the address but just so your aware the monthly payments will go up to £X (making my renewal now almost 28% higher). That payment could have been the difference between me renewing with them this year and using one of our other quotes from another company with a similar cover. I'm very disappointed. I was expecting possibly an admin fee (thinking that I was within the 14 days so I might have been lucky) but not the amount it's gone up to, especially with no communication to reflect the increase.I also think that the preferred/recommended/main method of communication being email is still quite poor for an insurance company.

This company is a scam. I have been a costumer for 4 years and never made a claim. I have recently tried to contact them with multiple follow up emails requesting some information on how to claim some recent vet expenses but had no response. I have then emailed (using the same address) asking to cancel my registration and the reasons behind my request and I quickly got an email basically saying goodbye. I have now tried to complain formally but I'm not very hopeful given their modus operandi.

Just got my renewal through and it had gone up by 44%!! Just to be transparent my dog is only 3 years old, a cross breed and I have never made a claim on the policy so a 44% increase is just ridiculous. Telephoned to cancel the renewal and the lady I spoke to didn't even ask why so great customer relation policy!! I would not recommend this insurer at all.

Edit : after a few days they did sort out the issue and offered £50 compensation for the hassle so changed to 3 from 1 star. This company took nearly 700 hundred pounds out of my account when I applied for cover , I received no paperwork etc and when I contacted them they said something went wrong and asked if I would pay again... after me pointing out they had already taken my money they said oh sorry we will try and sort this ASAP " ...2 days later and no response to email since then . At this point they are either incompetant or scammers and I would advise avoiding them ."

I raised the claim, was promptly sent a claim form. Filled it in, passed it to the vets to fill in further details and then they sent it off.Email received to confirm receipt of claim form. A few weeks later the claim was paid, details of the payment were sent through indicating deductions and that was it. No hassle, no quibbling. Just did what they are supposed to, insured my pet. I was so impressed I decided to ensure my other dog with them as well.

I have been with your company for a few years now. I claimed for the first time 2yrs ago and recently my 11yr old dog had to have 9 teeth removed. I knew I wasn't covered by insurance for the extractions but because of her age the vet said I would need some additional tests and IV drip. I put in a claim and received, after having to ring your company after 4weeks, £57.00 . At the time the vet said that my dog needed repeat bloods in 4 weeks ' time, which was a continuation of the original claim.Today, another month later, and I had to phone up to enquire why the money hadn't been deposited into my bank and was told that they were busy and it was under review again!I told the company that I was cancelling the contract because I have to keep begging for what I always paid in for and hardly ever claimed. To my astonishment I decided to have a check of my bank account and your company has taken £37.?? Out twice this month which is £75.00. Is that because you paid me £57??. If I hadn't have been checking up on an amount outstanding I would probably have not noticed a payment going out every 2 weeks for some time! This is daylight robbery!I have now stopped the direct debit from my bank account and will put money to one side in case my dog gets ill in the future. In my opinion this company is ripping people off and I will be putting a review onto Trust Pilot.

My experience with Lifetime pet cover is terrible. After being with them for years my dog ran into some very expensive vet bills. Immediately the insurance didn't pay out claiming an admin mix up, eventually they refused to pay the vets bills and I am currently in disagreement with them. What's the point in paying their expensive monthly cost if they refuse to honour their agreement. I had petplan with my last dog, no issues at all, should have stuck with petplan!

Lifetime Pet Cover
I am with Lifetime Pet Cover for 2 years now, having renewed in January 2023 for my second year with them. During the renewal in January 2023 I was promised a £35 voucher as to offset part of the price difference from a market comparison and as incentive to keep me as a customer.Since January I have been chasing regularly for my £35 voucher but yet to date, today is the 20th October 2023, I have been unable to receive it, which is rather frustrating! The voucher was part of the renewal contract, I have never failed a monthly payment and when called, their customer service team says that the voucher release is under review by marketing. This is over 10 months and I can't believe it takes that long to release a voucher. They are very quick to take my payment but unwilling to keep their contract obligations. Today the lady who answered my call from customer service said she will raise as complaint but once again , she could not have an answer as to when this is going to be resolved. Pathetic company to be a customer of! Very very frustrating! Specially when contract obligations are not met and how to even escalate? Awful customer service!
