Another wonderful walk with Heritage Adventures exploring Newlyns artistic heritage. Fascinating and informative.I had a wonderful heritage adventure exploring Maritime Newlyn with our very knowledgeable guide Jeanette. The walk was an ideal length- not too difficult - and we were taken to many different and interesting areas and viewpoints to give us a comprehensive view of the fishing port of Newlyn. Jeanette has done her research extremely well and could tell us about maritime Newlyn through showing us its historic buildings plus a comprehensive understanding of its contemporary situation.The walk was informative and very interesting.I thought I knew all there was to know about this place until today! I highly recommend Heritage Adventures to everyone and look forward to having another one.

We’ve visited Newlyn several times but this fascinating guided walk really helped us see so much more of this fishing port and town and learn about its history through our knowledgable and friendly guide.

We had 2 very informative cliff top hikes with Jeanette around Porthcurno, Penberth Cove and Gurnards Head. Jeanette has a great historical and archeological knowledge of the ancient history of this unique area. Would highly recommend for a day out with a difference.

I have joined Jeanette on two walks and I'm amazed by her depth of knowledge. She leads her walks based on the ability of the group and takes time to point out and explain the local history. She's both informative and fun to walk with - you'll learn a lot!

Wonderful detailed account of Newlyn’s maritime, fishing and art history provided in a really engaging manner by Jeanette. She dealt with our various distracting conversations and the afternoon went so quickly. Thoroughly recommend this new business and wish them luck with it. Newlyn is a such an important part of Mounts Bay and I now have a much better knowledge of its cultural past

Our tour of Newlyn was very clear, entertaining, extremely informative and well thought out. Jeanette thoughtfully catered for the fact that our group had certain mobility needs. We were taken on a Foot and Ferry tour around Falmouth which looked at almost everything you could imagine, from prehistoric sites through the Middle Ages and right into the World Wars. Jeanette was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the tour was very well run. She'd also tailored the tour to suit our interests. We'll be back for another tour with her!

Unmissable walking tour of Newlyn with an expert local.Recently, Jeanette guided me around historic Newlyn. She is engaging, articulate and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Newlyn. The history, the artist scene, the fishing industry, the local walks and scenery and more. We went from location to location where she brought what we were looking at to life in a most engaging way. Where the shoreline used to be, where the first quay was built, the derelict ice factory, the fish-market/harbour, the medieval core, the hostelries, the fishmongers and more.She enhanced the experience with a book full of famous paintings and maps from different dates. We paused in many places and she would use a painting or map to show me how it was". A terrific experience. I gather she can also arrange boat trips and other walks for a group. Superb."
