The building is not the most luxurious or historical place in London. However, the centre has a very interesting cultural mission and I was deeply inspired by its vision.

Great little place for all things Middle East! As an institution, they could be a bit more organized and efficient, but it's a small organization with limited resources, so they can be forgiven for this.

The Arab British Centre
Located just off Fleet Street through various alley ways, around the corner from Dr Johnson's house (or off Fetter Lane), this was the location where I attended a talk on the Turkish/Iranian copies of poetry by Baki, including lovely illustrations to his work. This was organised by the Barakat Trust which help s fund building restorations in the Arab world. Very interesting.

The Arab British Centre
A central location in a lovely townhouse on several floors. Admin on the ground floor & Library / events room above. The staff are especially welcoming - and are clearly committed to promoting understanding of the Arab world in the UK. I attended a music event (on 7 Jan) and hope they are able to put on similar events in the future.Their work & links with other organisations deserves every encouragement.
