Stokesley Taxis

Caught up in the lockdown abroad, Stokesley Taxi's were on standby every time my return flight was rescheduled. Eventually arrived back in UK and Stokesley Taxi's got me home safely and without fuss. Great customer service.

Never using again. Absolute rip off. £20 for an 8 mile journey. Had a look at Boro Cars to compare and they charge £12 for an 8 mile journey. How do you justify these charges??

DO NOT USE STOKESLEY TAXIS!!! Contacted several local taxi companies for Newcastle airport transfers and was impressed with their initial response so booked transfers with them. A day and a half before travelling I contacted them to advise of 20 minute change to flight times. They responded and said they didn’t have a driver for the return even though they’d taken my booking a couple of months ago. They weren’t even going to let me know they had an issue and offered no apology (I have the emails as proof). We would have been left stranded in the early hours of Sunday morning with 3 young children!!! We managed to get transfers with another local company but at an additional cost due to the short notice. Be warned, avoid this company at all costs!!!

I used stokesley taxis for the second time yesterday as they were a local taxi firm and I believed they could offer a better taxi survice than that of one of the larger chains. I ordered my taxi over an hour in advance to pick me up from my house to be dropped off in Middlesbrough. When the taxi was almost 10 minutes late I called up to see where it was and was informed that the driver had been sent to Middlesbrough to collect me and drop me off in Stokesley and blamed the new computer system although I doubt this was the case and the driver had got it wrong. After waiting a further 10-15 minutes another driver finally arrived. Half way through the journey he asks if me and my partner if we have the exact money which we did not but then he claimed he had no change on him and fell silent. He then asked again if we had £15 on us, £2 less than the stated price of £17 for the journey, and again we said no we had either a £20 or £10 note and again went silent. The driver then explained that he had just started his shift and he wasn't even meant to be on this job" and therefore wasn't prepared for it. Me and my partner glanced at eachother confused and explained to the driver that it unfortunately isn't our fault. The driver sighed and said he'd have "to stop off somewhere then" and pulled into a Tescos. Getting the change was not a problem for us

Fabulous service!! Ferrying my guest back and forth to wedding venue back to Hotels etc, definitely use these guys again.

First time in North Yorkshire, from pick up from Teesside International Airport, and returning us to the Airport as well as getting us to our destination around Stkesley and surrounding areas we could not fault the service we received. Prompt,polite, fast and very friendly people.

Booked in advance a return to Redcar from Great Ayton for this evening. Taxi for the outward journey turned up slightly late, Ok, Not a big deal. Journey to Redcar from Great Ayton cost £32! We lived in London prior to moving back to our home town, we were surprised at the price! Our pre-booked return didn’t turn up. So we rang to find out what was happening. We were told the taxi was stuck in Guisborough due to the weather and couldn’t make it, no offer of an alternative, just tough luck, you’re stuck and we can’t help you. Rang J&P in Redcar. They came out within 15 minutes and took us home no problem, no problem whatsoever, price? £19. We will never use Stokesley taxis again, we would never recommend Stokesley Taxis and we hope this review is helpful to customers going forward.
