Hello Student Accommodation, Europa House

Great place for students to live. Less than a 3 minute walk from Gunwharf Quays & Portsmouth Harbour station. Management are very helpful and the common rooms & gym are kept in pristine condition. Definitely in the top 2 of student accommodations in Portsmouth and they are not number 2 ;)

Definitely the best student accommodation in Portsmouth. The rooms are well furnished with everything looking very new and like it was recently refurbished. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Any issues get resolved quickly with no fuss.Couldn’t have asked for a better place to live in for my time in Portsmouth.Highly recommend :)

Building was well maintained, always tidy, frequently cleaned. Both the day and night staff were happy to go above and beyond to ensure my experience was up to an exceptional standard. The views from the building are among the best in Portsmouth. Stuart the manager and his team maintains a very well run building, if you ever need anything they are always there to help you out. Would recommend to any future students!

Fantastic place to live. Especially if you're first year. I've applied late for my accommodation and turned out to stay at Europa. Despite late application there were no problems with getting a place. The staff is fantastic , great understanding of needs and difficulties in life which they managed to adapt and cater to. Especially Sophie and Andrew. Great family atmosphere especially if you're from far abroad, parties, movie nights, the staff at Europa are the quintessence of what accommodation managers should be like . Recommended 10/10.

Lovely staff around the accommodation - like a previous review has mentioned, the staff are more like your friends, they chat with you at the reception and get a conversation going. Move in day was made less stressful with their help and support.The rooms are excellent too, very spacious. Only a 10 minute walk, if that, into campus, which is very convenient - the train station and Gunwharf Quays is also just across the road. Location is great! Would definitely recommend this accommodation to any mature students seeking a getaway from the noise from the majority of the campus-based accommodations that the university has to offer. All bills are included - Wi-Fi has worked great since my arrival, facilities are amazing within the building (gym, cinema room and various study rooms, laundry room), location is great, staff are friendly, and overall a very safe and secured accommodation!

Europa House was my final choice after viewing all the student accommodations in Portsmouth, and it was definitely a right choice I made. All staffs are really nice and helpful, the room has a nice view, really enjoy the gym, and the accommodation is well managed. Highly recommend this accommodation to students in Portsmouth!

i weighed up the student accommodations in portsmouth and some of the uni owned halls had such horrific infestations and hygiene issues. I was stuck between Europa House and a few other private student places but i settled here (mostly because of the massive windows and amazing views).definitely the best choice i made in portsmouth. the accommodation is really well taken care of the staff are very friendly and helpful. the views really are spectacular and it’s amazing being so close to the uni and also the docks and gunwharf.I’ve been here two years and really only had a couple of maintenance problems with the building which were mostly sorted out quickly.the common rooms are really great and useful for having friends round. and distance to the train station and the bus station is a huge plus.when i moved here the prices were different however and I can say i won’t be back in my final year because i can’t afford the price changes. maybe the prices were lower for covid, but it’s sad to see them get so expensive.they changed management while i was staying here and some of the issues i had with first management weren’t able to be sorted with the second management. it took like 7 months for me to get a light fixed in my room.the finish on the rooms is really nice but it does feel a bit surface level. after a while trying to pull the plug out of the socket feels like the socket will come off with it. but there are sockets and USB plugs EVERYWHERE which is such a bonus. Two plugs and 4 USB by your bed!the ovens have this super annoying timer that varies depending on the room you’re in. My first room’s oven didn’t even turn off for like an hour and a bit. but the next room i was in the oven and hob turned off after half an hour, who can cook a nice meal in that amount of time? and when you turn it all back on the hob would take like 10 mins longer than the oven to turn on. AND if you had to wake up the oven and hob more than once in a single cooking session then the hob would just turn itself off for about 30-40mins. i’ve had maintenance look at it countless times and v little was done each time (although the new management have done more to help fix it)also don’t stay here if you’re a light sleeper, you will be listening to foghorns, pub music, canons , etc all the time. not a problem for me just heard from others that they found it hard. and my god the internet can be SO slOW. I keep using up my data just to open a webpage. most days it’s fine but certain days it can just be impossible to use it at all.But overall it’s way better way cleaner way more comfortable than other places. and the staff will actually want to help you unlike other places. I can’t say it’s worth the expense that it is nowadays but i’ll say it’s a nice building to live in.

The team are always really friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Special shoutout to Rebecca and Stuart who are ace. I absolutely cannot wait to stay next year. Best accommodation in Portsmouth.

I choose this accommodation with the hopes of getting away from the loud (most oftentimes dirty) university accommodation and I haven't regretted my decision once. It's beautifully clean here, with really good facilities and friendly reception staff available all hours. It feels really safe here and I love only sharing my kitchen with one person. This accommodation is perfect for older students or those that are more mature. It's in a really good distance from the uni itself, only a 10 minute walk (and even less for me). The rooms themselves are wonderful, big and have lots of storage space, and the beds are 3/4 doubles which is much bigger than single beds. All in all, I would recommend this accommodation to anyone and rate it very highly.
