I have just celebrated a big birthday & had a wonderful family time at The Coach House.Highly recommend it for family get togethers or just to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings & local towns & villages.It was blustery wet weather, but it didn’t stop us appreciating the area , which is stunning.I can not say enough about the accommodation, everything you need, no expense spared , very relaxing & homely.My young great nephews loved the llamas.We would all love to return,thank you Alan for making us so welcome .Hope to meet you Juliette next time !!

We had a wonderful weekend here. Hosts were very kind and allowed the children to feed the llamas and hens. Great house for a family get together there were 13 of us. Plenty space for us all.

A great place to stay with a crowd. Very friendly hosts, including the llamas! The games room was handy while storm Dennis kept us indoors. Highly recommended.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Such a cracking place for a getaway. We stayed as a group of 15 and we all had a comfortable bed (some sharing/sofa bed) and had plenty of space (2 kitchens, plenty showers/bathrooms). The outside setup is fantastic with plenty of green spaces and Al fresco dining options, we didn't even get very good weather but had a BBQ and it was great. The choice of games in the games room was amazing- ping pong, pool, air hockey and table football. The hosts are lovely, relaxed and very helpful. We will be back!

Beautiful location in rolling slopes of dumfries. Easy to reach from manchester (less than 3 hours).Lovely owners who offer added extras like llama feeding and sidecar rides. Perfect for big families with kids. Even has a couple of friendly resident chickens whom we loved.Nearby (20 mins drive max) is the town of Castle Douglas with free parking, supermarkets local butchers restaurants charity shops clothing and a swimming pool.There are also half hr drives to beaches, walks, choc factory, outdoor activity areas.Back at the house there are wood burning stoves as well as centrally controlled heating, well stocked kitchens, comfy beds and quirky corners.We had such a good time and would love to go back.Take BBQ food and footballs in the summer. We didn't use them as it rained and snowed a little but the games room kept the kids (and adults) entertained in those hours!

We had our wedding celebrations here at The Coach House and Juliet was such a fantastic host. She let us feed the llamas which the children enjoyed. The property itself is in such a beautiful location and it was stunning inside and out! I would 100% recommend and will definitely visit again

Stunning place. I stayed for a week with 13 other people and we all got our own beds! Amazing how we got to feed and walk the llamas! Also really close to really good activities like the cream o' galloway and the chocolate factory! We also went to a total of 4 beaches and they were all lovely. Juillet and Alan (the owners of the house) were so nice to us. On the last day before we left we went on the quadbike! SO FUN! I recommend to all ages!
