Hawthorne Cottage Caravan Site

Right from the very moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome, Bev is such a lovely lady and runs the site faultlessly - nothing is too much trouble.Even in the autumn, with all the plants dying off, the landscaping still looked lovely, with the backdrop of the forest beyond, it was just perfect for us; peaceful - with only the sounds of the birds - would love to be there in the summer so we could actually sit outside and appreciate it more! We were only there for a few days and felt we had only just scratched the surface of this lovely area.We shall most definitely be back ☺️

Lovely location, forest walks direct from site, very quiet with lots of birdlife to study from the van window. Local cafe and pubs are an easy walk away if you haven't got a dog, borrow one as they will love it!

We booked onto this site following good recommendations. Bev (owner) welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble. She took time to explain local walks and attractions . We had an amazing time and would add our recommendation too. Excellent

A lovely quiet campsite that has access directly into the forest. Bev the owner is welcoming, provides an overview and maps of local area. A lovely well kept site away from bigger more commercialised sites. Very quiet and idyllic.

Stayed at hawthorn Cottages for 5night with 3 dogs, lovely clean site, clean facilities, fantastic walks through the woods, Bev was great, will definitely go again

Arrived to great welcome from Bev. Shown around and then some great information about walks in the forest and local area. Beautiful grounds and very clean facilities would highly recommend a stay here we are here 7 nights.

Just back from a wonderful week at Hawthorne Cottage, Bev does a wonderful job of keeping the place looking amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Great location for beautiful walks into the forest direct from the site and very dog friendly. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely peaceful setting & great woodland walks from the impeccable site .Bev is the epitome of a caring, patient and knowledgeable owner/ hostess and a fountain of local knowledge.
