Honestly, the customer service from the fella in the servicing department is terrible. Tried speaking with him on a few occasions, came across as not interested & rude every time. Put me off using this company before I’ve even started! Very unprofessional customer service, on that part I wouldn’t recommend.

Dropped a motor off to mark. Was going to be looked at the next day which was great as a new one had an 8 week lead time. I chased and chased and each time over the following weeks someone was going to look at it tomorrow, no one called me. Eventually after about 8 weeks (the time it would of taken to just by a new one) I chase again and one of the directors manages to get someone to call me back. Now I find out that they have looked at it and need a part they can’t get. Three weeks later I chase them up again and they have managed to get me a second hand part and the motors been tested and sat on a shelf waiting for me to collect. Again, I only know this because I chased them up again and I have no idea how long it’s been sat there waiting to be collected. This has had various knock on effects to me and my business and I get to pay for the privilege too. Next time I will just wait for a new motor and stop using this company. Useless, bad communication, and with the exception of the ladies I spoke to when I called in terrible customer service.

I cannot fault the service I received from Colchester Rewinds & Repairs Ltd. I had a table saw that suddenly stopped working and when I contacted the company I had purchased it from I received no help at all, but they sold me a motor that it turned out I did not need as that was not the problem. The problem was the switch which they told me they couldn’t replace and that was it! I searched around for help and found Colchester Rewinds and Repairs Ltd who couldn’t have been more helpful, from the welcoming receptionist who arranged for me to bring the saw in, the gentleman who helped to carry it from my car and especially Fraser who managed to do an excellent repair on a part I had been told was unrepairable and irreplaceable. One very satisfied customer….thank you.

Very unprofessional.I recently had a generator unit requiring repair dropped off to Mark (from what I understand one of the directors at Colchester Rewinds). When dropping off the unit mark had promised they would look at undertaking the repair as promptly as they could and 'would look at it later that day'. One week passed and when chasing I was told 'we haven't had a chance to look at it yet but we'll get onto it this afternoon'. Another couple of days past and speaking to the receptionist I was told 'Mark hadn't told anyone the generator had been dropped off or that it needed repair but Kevin will now look at this this afternoon'. Another couple of days passes and speak to Mark again to be told 'I will try get round to looking at it later today..' then to be asked 'why don't you just take it somewhere else?'Complete shambles, very unprofessional company in general and I genuinely can't understand how they are still in business. Very rude, poor customer service and a complete lack of urgency. I have now taken the generator to Boardley & Roberts LTD.

Don't see the receptionist as she is a very rude person if you go when she is on her lunch break(which I didn't know)

Appalling customer service. Our equipment was with them for over 3 weeks. When we phoned to see what was happening, the bloke on the end of the phone claimed he had nothing to do with servicing and he was the only person there at that time (every time) and promised to call back with information - never did. However, very quick to demand payment, and get stroppy when we were as dismissive as they had been! Treat you customers with respect, and they will respect you.
