Really friendly staff, great real ales that are kept well (if a little pricey), lovely large garden with a climbing frame for the kids. The only reason the overall rating is three stars was down to the food. Which whilst good quality does not offer value for money due to portion size vs price. £3 for bag of pork scratchings.

Nice pub in a great location. Large beer garden that backs onto fields. Food smelled and looked good. Beer is quite pricey at £6.60 for a morreti. Service is good.

First time going to the Red Lion. The staff were lovely, but unfortunately, the Sunday roast was awful . The lamb was very fatty, and the roast potatoes were really burnt. The meal was only warm... disappointed

A lovely village pub with large garden. However, although the garden is large it's not particularly well kept and some of the picnic benches are well past the point of needing replacing. The food is not good. I've eaten here twice and both meals were of poor quality and value.

This was our first time visit. There are various factors that make an evening special. The most important of these is was it memorable. The venue was great and had easy parking. The food was good but not memorableThe service was exceptional- this was made possible with the use of a 5 ft 3 in waitress called Lucy. This young person oozed personalityHer delight in banter was wonderful. She engaged with the customer with chat about her life . This enabled us to give an older perspective to her challenges. I just hope that Lucy realises what an asset she is to this business and that she is appreciated. I want Lucy to know in my view whatever she puts her mind do she will excel but never under value the power of social skills. X

Pleasant dinner with friends with good friendly service. Large pub garden, and good sized pub set in attractive village. Enjoyed the Long Blonde ale!

Popped in for lunch today, beautiful garden are but lots of cigarette butts under the table on the grass, kinda off putting. They had a board outside advertising fresh fish from somewhere I’d never heard of, so we both ordered fish and chips. The fish was clearly frozen and only partially defrosted before deep frying. It was mushy and lacked much flavour. In parts nuclear hot, in parts lukewarm. Batter was good and chips were super crispy and very good. Peas cold. Disappointing.

Lovely friendly pub, with a warm atmosphere and great service. It caters for locals and tourists, and has a real country pub vibe. The menu is good with a range of dishes. It's in a picturesque village and is very much a traditional English pub, but with a worldly outlook.

Have eaten here a few times & just enjoyed chilling on the garden with a beer. Great place & great food. Can cycle to it as just off the South downs link, we do that sometimes.
