There are two exhibitions on the site. One covers the history of Maidenhead, with themed displays. The other is the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) Museum which also houses a Spitfire simulator. (My Grandmother flew Spitfires exhibition.)Both exhibitions are very good, even though they are small, due to lack of space. The Spitfire simulator is very good. There is a charge for this.

Successfully flew a spitfire and didn't crash! Fascinating experience learning about the women and men of the ATA. We got a personal tour of the small museum and the guide was very knowledgeable with lots of interesting stories and memorable characters. The spitfire simulator was impressive with all the working levers and immersive virtual environment. Thankfully we were in capable hands and the instructor was experienced and patient. A great afternoon out!

I'd been planning to visit Maidenhead Heritage centre for some time and finally got round to it, after living in Maidenhead for over 40 years.Downstairs is a small museum relating to Maidenhead.Upstairs is the main attraction, an Air Transport Auxiliary display and the Spitfire flight simulator. I spent the money and did the flight, it was a great experience.Recommended.

The story of the aircraft delivery system during the WWII was extremely interesting.

Took my 99 year old father in law to fly the spitfire simulator. He loved it. Booked for 1 hour and actually had 80 minutes. Super time spent on his birthday fling over London. Will go again

Wow. My kids had a blast. They are airplane crazy and this placed delivered. The staff was so kind and helped them with the amazing spitfire simulator. And we learned a lot about the spitfire pilots. Definitely worth a trip!!

Small and well laid out museum. Worth striking a conversation with the staff as there is a wealth of knowledge not on display.
