Hellesdon Medical Practice

Absolutely disgusted at the service of reception staff I was 1st in the queue at 10am this morning & for some unknown reason left dangling the other end of a phone for 10mins until I hung up,perhaps they were having a tea break or something!

Went in to get what I thought was an infection checked out, only to be told it wasn't one, and given a prescription for pain killers. Had to go to A and E the next day, to get a real diagnosis and medical assistance/ treatment. Have been on regular prescriptioned meds for years, suddenly Dr's at Hellesdon Medical practice are not doing medicine reviews, so I am now unable to refill my prescription.

If there was minus 5 star option I would have given it to this surgery. First it was Dr tolly whose behaviour was absolutely disgusting and now its Dr mitra. Wanted referral for my 11 month old boy. Which previous doctor said he was going to refer then for turned out he forgot and couldn't do it so have to book another appointment. Had appointment with this lady Dr mitra. Who had no clue to the issue and said she can't refer there is no need and I questioned if there wasn't any need why your colleagues said he was going to refer and while doing so I wasn't loud aggressive or abusive. Now received letter saying my behaviour to her was aggressive and violent and any further behaviour of this sort mean I will be removed from practice. Totally disgusted

Has been mixed experiences but forced to leave a negative review on blinking Google as trying to do an ONLINE Complaint out side off working hours to say that service is closed...My 3 month old son, who has had a rough start to the world, was getting progressively worse with a particular problem. My wife took him to see a Doctor who said he's fine, just give him calpol.Not happy with this we had to take him to the walk in as the surgery is now closed. One look at him there and instantly knew my son was not okay and prescribed him some medicine.

Phoned today on behalf of my elderly parents who are still amongst others waiting for a home visit for their Flu and covid jab from this practice and like others can't get a time or date.The receptionist was very rude and arrogant and not at all helpfull and when I challenged her by simply saying Thats not good enough she immediatly cut me off.If this attitude reflects the training she has recieved its obvious to me and others judging by the reviews that this is a very uncaring and non sympathtic practice, who should be more professional and if not they should seek to employ somebody who knows how to communicate in a appropriate manner

GP Front door service sent a script request through for a child, phone call today stating script couldn’t be done because said child (under 18) was”in effect” an adult. Surprise surprise it was Dr Tolly, the most unsympathetic, fobbing off GP I have ever met. The star is for the receptionist who as always are lovely, they are the message givers who get all the flack.

I went here a few weeks ago for a sensitive appointment and was nervous to get checked out. The nurse who I had treated me like I was a bother and I felt as if I was practically thrown out of the door and I felt the need to apologise for not getting out of the door quick enough. I understand that everyone in the NHS works hard and are understaffed but treating people like this isn’t acceptable. This is very poor service, and I wouldn’t want this to happen to an elderly patient or someone who was easily upset. It’s a shame as the reception staff are always helpful.

I just want to say a massive thank you to Rachel on Reception and Noelia one of the nurses at Hellesdon Medical Practice.Both of you have shown me the upmost caring, thoughtfulness and kindness when helping me with post surgery complications. You both went above and beyond to ensure I got the best treatment and enabled my recovery to get back on track.My heartfelt thanks to you both. You are both great assets to the Practice, and to the NHS, and I just wanted to say thank you for all you do.Warmest wishes,Bridget

I was with this practice for over 20 years and always found them very efficient. The staff are extremely helpful staff who always get back to me. I still deal with this practice as my elderly mother is registered with them and can say I am really grateful for their great communication with me. I have had to move to another surgery as I am out of the catchment area now (only 5 miles away) and the service there is absolutely appalling.

Awful! There are only 2 doctors who actually care and that’s Dr Duncan and Dr Baxter and you can never get in with them because they are so busy. When I was suffering with depression a dr told me to go on long walks and when I go to sleep to count sheep. I have endometriosis so I have crippling pain and this dr told me that there is nothing else they can do for me and it’s just a period pain !!!!! This Dr was a women and should have understood but she made me feel so small. One of the receptionist was really rude to me aswell. Now being 6 weeks pregnant and suffering with constant sickness they don’t have any appointments for me and they told me to go to the walk in Center ! They are absolutely horrendous and unprofessional I have now changed doctors because I have had enough of being treated like this and being constantly palmed off and being made to feel like I’m not worthy of having any treatment
