Traveler Type: Indian familyAchilty has a fabulous location close to beautiful Scottish villages, distilleries, large towns and most importantly on the start of North Coast 500. The guest house is right beside a busy road, so if you have room facing the road, then it may get a bit noisy at times. There's only one room facing the quiet and lovely backyard/jungle and we were lucky to have that one in addition to three others elsewhere. Also, rooms are decently spacious. Nearest food options are about 3-5 miles away but they are really good. Try the Khan Tandoori at Muir of Ord if you have time and inclination.Currently there's no eatery on site or in immediate vicinity. There may be one as soon as this summer. Check with the facility. The host of the place is a wonderful person and eager to help at all times.

This guest house is a great place to stay whilst doing the NC500. You can see that a lot of investment has been made. And the room I stayed in had a TV, Fridge, Microwave and a modern fitted bathroom. Continental breakfast every morning. A few mins walk from the village shop and close to the Jet Petrol station. Various takeaways in nearby Dingwall will deliver, but from £7.50 delivery charge. There is free WiFi but due to the rural location, the bandwidth is low. So bear that in mind if you have young children that use devices that require the internet.

Stayed here on my way to Ben Wyvis - comfortable clean rooms with everything you need. The Guest House has no Bar - but there is a nice lounge where you can sit and relax in the evening. The owner was very welcoming and extremely helpful - and the Continental Breakfast was extensive with plenty of fresh fruit, alongside pasties and cold meats.

Have just stayed for 2 nights in August.The host was very nice and obliging.Our room was clean and spacious and the Super king-size bed was so comfortable. The Continental breakfast was plentiful. Fantastic base to explorethe beautiful countryside and Lochs nearby.

Great place to stay when you don't need 5* hotel. Spacious room with bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, kettle, microwave and fridge. Our host Mwaba is really great man, very kind and nice. Breakfast was full of basic stuff we need - coffee, tea, toasts, fruit, cereals, ham and chesse, yogurt and so on.

Too class!The hotel room was basic, it was simple, but it was great. The host Mwambi was great, he welcomed us in, drove us up the road to the restaurant we had booked for dinner and served a cracking continental breakfast.Simple, basic hotel made great by the host!If your looking for 5*, this is not the hotel for you, if your after cheap, everything you need and fab service, this is for you!!!Would recommend, would stay again!Well done Mwambi, Keep up the great work!! Rooms really need updating. Very poor condition . Hotel is run down.There was no atmosphere when you arrive at this hotel.Looking into it . The hotel is up for saleWould I stay here again ? NO

Stayed here with my spouse for 3 nights. The gentleman who runs the place was absolutely lovely. The rooms were clean and comfortable to stay in, and the breakfast was a perfect way to start the morning for an excellent price. Next time I'm in this area I know it will be the place I seek out to stay. The hotel is also about a 5 minute walk away from the reserve leading to Rogie Falls so if you like to hike its an excellent choice as well. There is also a bus stop close by of you are taking public transport.
