Sunday Carvery. Good atmosphere clean tables, friendly staff. Easy to park. Lovely riverside setting. The food. Beef to well done for my taste. Very thinly sliced. Chicken quite dry also thinly cut. Vegtables excellent all except the parsnips that were over cooked (quite burnt). Yorkshires excellent. I did not eat the stuffing but eveyone else did. There was copious amounts of gravy and sauces as needed. The desert for me was to die for. Loved it.

Well, who would have thought? What a gem of a find. If you are looking for a great welcome, then this is the place. People travel from all over and not yet have we been disappointed in meeting new people.Usually go on a Thursday night, when you can by a main meal & pudding for £8.00 as long as you order together. More often than not I am stuffed. Even on it's own the 1st course is £6.00. Best check the website or Facebook page to see the menu and worth being early not to disappoint!Tonight I had a fabulous stew and my husband added the side order of chips to his breaded camembert & was more than satisfied. I didn't take a picture of the breaded camembert. We are yet to be disappointed with the quantity & quality of food.Friday night is chippy night, and again, not to be disappointed. Small fish & chips is perfect & served on a plate but with chippy paper.

The best carvery I've experienced anywhere ever. Masses of choice, top quality ingredients cooked with care. The roast parsnips with onions, peppers and mushrooms was a bit unusual and absolutely lovely, among other lovely more traditional veggies. Also nice to have fully cooked beef instead of the pink mush that the trendy places serve! Staff are really helpful and friendly too. Have tried once, will definitely be back. Thanks.

Went there on the off chance to have Sunday lunch, the ladies where so accomodating and found us a table. We had the roast served by a lovely young man. We where so stuffed we couldn't manage a pudding. Had a lovely walk around the grounds. We are that impressed we have booked again for the whole family x
