We planned to dine at Dynasty on Saturday to celebrate our friend’s recent retirement by joining them for dinner. We had gifted them a £100 voucher in the previous October and they wanted to use it as partial payment for the dinner. Unfortunately on the evening before our visit, on checking the voucher, they noticed that it had expired 4 days ago. Our friends contacted Dynasty and were told that there was nothing the restaurant could do.Read the rules - it’s in the Terms and Conditions!Our friends were provided with a reason that was based on the recent end of the tax year that was, to be frank, just a complete nonsense. After some further discussion they were offered £50 of the value of the voucher but they declined and cancelled the reservation.My wife complained in writing to the restaurant’s e-mail address to express disappointment in their customer relations and hoped for a satisfactory settlement to this issue for a possible future visit to Dynasty. However, in their reply, we were informed that we were lucky not to have been charged a £210 cancellation fee for not giving 48 hours notice of cancelling!Read the rules - it’s in the Terms and Conditions!So, not only did we not get the £100 reimbursed for a future visit but we are now left feeling grateful that this business didn’t remove a further £210 from our pockets.Draw your own conclusions from this review, make your own decision if this is somewhere that you want to spend your money. We made our choice last Saturday and we’ll not be changing it.If you’ve got a voucher for Dynasty or Oshibori, check the validity date. My advice is spend it quickly because they might not be around for much longer with this standard of customer relations.

The decor is certainly over the top and a bit inconsistent at times but the food is absolutely delicious. The shrimps tasted fresh and the beef was tender. The side noodles are a bit on the small side for the generously proportioned mains. It's also on the expensive side but it's positively reflected in the quality is the food.

Had a great evening with partner, could not believe we were in Dundee!Excellent atmosphere and very tastefully decorated yet peaceful. Set menu is excellent value where it's 6 courses but we were given 9! after each course they served some delicious canapes mixture of hot and cold which was a great touch. We absolutely felt like royalties! will be back again.

I placed an order through Zippy D for £50 worth of food. It was to be delivered at 18:30 still waiting and called the restaurant twice to be told it had been dispatched at 18:40 which means it has now been in transit 34 mins. I assume they wouldn’t leave food sitting on the pass for this length of time. Need to rethink your delivery options.19:30 my food has arrived and the promised crispy squid is soggy and cold poor shoe

Dynasty is a gem of Dundee which does not get the recognition it deserves. I booked the entire restaurant for a birthday party to which Dynasty catered drinks and a 3 course meal for 30 guests. Food was exceptional and staff made zero faults- having even provided photography services also.The beautiful garden allowed a fantastic venue for welcoming and concluding drinks and the interior is second to none in Dundee. You have to see this restaurant to truly admire the work they have put into it.Food and service 10/10.

Having visited dynasty on Friday night I was so amazed with this restaurant and the entertainment , good food and service. The vintage girl's who have a forties theme do not only sound amazing but also look amazing. I certainly will be booking for the next event .

Just wow! if you are looking for something special and spectacular then Dynasty is the right place. Had an amazing dinner with my husband, food was delicious and plenty of choice! portion sizes are on the bigger side which makes the whole experience very satisfactory, staff very polite and extremely attentive overall service was 10/10! The place is not fully packed as dining is by reservations only which I think is a great idea as you get full attention - service wise. Music was wonderful and decor is so opulent and dreamy! Highly recommended and I will be returning soon. Thank you Dynasty!

We're hugely disappointed by the food. The Lo Mein was actually soba noodle in sesame-based sauce. The fried rice was plain, soggy and barely fried. The Orange Chicken we ordered came in massive chunks, so it was only natural that neither marinade nor sauce could give add any rich flavour to it. The tea turned out to be the last straw: 7 pounds for a tiny pot with two teabags in it. While the interior design is impressive, I find it hard to recommend it to anyone coming for the expensive but unappealing food.
