Moss End Farm Boarding Kennels

I have been using Moss End for 6 years or so now. My dog Flash is a very anxious dog and he absolutely loves to go on his doggy holidays, he runs in excitedly every time we drop him off and even when we collect him he stays in re.ception. Our second dog Sky also loves it too and when she came into season during her last stay they were observant and aware and made the necessary changes to her walks to keep her away from full males. They seem to get to know the dogs and their quirks, especially our crazy Flash, and make sure the dogs are walked with an appropriate group. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will continue using them even though they are a long drive to the other side of town from us and we have another kennels much closer to York city centre where we live. Absolutely 5 stars from me, Flash and Sky

Excellent daycare provided for our pet Labrador. We are on holiday in the area and were looking for somewhere for our dog to be looked after whilst we visited museums Etc in York. We took our dog along to Moss End on Saturday for a look around and they were able to accommodate him for day care on Monday and Tuesday. The staff we met were all great with the animals and our dog was comfortable with them all and more than happy to go back. The kennels and exercise yards are a good size and there’s a big field for them to run off lead. The dogs are walked 4 times a day and the staff are happy to accommodate individual needs and preferences. Really pleased we found them. Thank you!

Oliver, our black lab, has stayed at Moss End since he was 6 months old. He is now 11 years old. I have always felt very confident leaving him there. He has always enjoyed himself and loves having a bath before he leaves. I would certainly recommend Moss End Farm to anyone looking for a safe, secure and happy place to leave their dogs. They will have some fun!

Our 8 year old Border terrier has been coming to Moss end farm since she was a puppy. She appears to love it here. She's always so excited when we arrive and one of the girls comes to meet her, and best of all she's exhausted when she gets home from all the exercise! Would highly recommend for both day care and longer stays.

We've been taking our 3 doggies over the last 6 or 7 years to Moss End Farm Kennels sometimes up to 2weeks at a time and also for overnight stays. We've found all of our dogs very well looked after and they've lived their best lives in all the surroundings of the kennels/farm and fields. They enjoy their frolics and have always been kept updated of how they're doing when we've messaged the kennels. Would recommend (and always do) these kennels and will continue to use them whenever we need to have holiday breaks.

The girls are lovely and really look after your dog. My dog loves going and she formed a bond with the girls. Thank you for giving me piece of mind when I leave her with you. Keep doing what your doing.

We have used moss end kennels for nearly 12 years,both our labradors have loved their stay. They have taken really good care of our beloved pets.Videos pictures and updates have really been reassuring. Tessa is already booked n again for September.

Our 7 month old puppy Labrador Ronnie stayed for his first stay yesterday. He has been well looked after and came home a happy boy.When we went to have a look round the staff were really helpful and provided a lot of information about the dogs’ routines. As Ronnie loves playing with other dogs, we liked the big field and the option for the dogs to play and exercise together. Thanks for looking after Ronnie x

We've been bringing our dogs to moss end kennels for about 6 years now.I was very nervous about them going to kennels initially but when I saw how happy they are to go here, my nerves started to subside.They absolutely LOVE coming here. As soon as we turn off the main road, they know where they are going and the excitement is unreal. That shows me that they genuinely enjoy staying at the kennels, unlike other kennels we have used when moss end are full.They cannot wait to see the staff and get out having fun. They recognise the staff and love seeing them.I feel completely happy with my dogs in their care and I am a very nervous and anxious person so it takes alot for me to put my trust in other people looking after my dogs but I do with these guys.I will continue to use moss end and I would just say that negative reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt. Moss end have an extremely good reputation on social media and are almost constantly fully booked, showing just how many people trust them with their dogs.There are different dog companies in York and people attached to them so please bear that in mind if you see negative reviews. There is a lot of jealousy when a company provides a good service which moss end has done consistently for a long time.I have no bias as I am simply a dog owner and I review very fairly and point out things when they are wrong but we are genuinely extremely happy with the care our dogs receive while at Moss End and I would recommend them to other dog owners without question.

My dog absolutely loves this kennels. If he could jump out the car on arrival he would! We use it every week for daycare and holidaysSometimes you need to wait for staff to collect (not for very long), but staff are busy doing their jobs, walking, cleaning & attending to dogs. The staff are always professional, friendly & knowledgeable about what each dog has done during the day. I have a bulldog so it’s important for me they know how to treat him when it’s hot etc. I never doubt they take good care of him!
