I love these mountain trains they are beautiful and historic on there tiny tracks. Definitely worthy of a visit and hopefully ride one if in the local area. This station is outside the National slate musem.

Lovely run up the lake in a great steam engine. Staff very friendly and helpful even when some customers are awkward. Its a busy place and they try and get everyone onboard so can be a tight fit but it adds to the fun

This rating is independently for the tearoom. There was no meals available as there was a problem with the fryers, ok, but you don't see this sign until you have queued and got to the till. I asked are you doing toasties?" Replied" no the machine is switched off! Not great service

Busy spot. Great experience for family of all ages. Worth paying for the train ride towards Snowdown. Highlight of out visit to North Wales. Book on line as I doubt in the peak times you could turn up and get a ticket.

Station yard has interest even if you're not on the train. Good shop, cafe, toilets, exhibition. Parking across main road is expensive.

Wonderful scenic place. Early booking recommended for summit train. If you miss summit train try other local train for fun. One of the best place in wales and UK

Took the hour long ride along the lake. It was a nice day and we got to stretch our legs on the way back to the station. We visited the cafe for some refreshments before going to the Slate Museum.
