Mr George Murty ENT Surgeon

Had tonsils removed 6 years ago. Literally not had a sore throat since. The initial consultation I had with Dr Murty changed my quality of life as I was getting recurrent bouts of tonsillitis. It was money well spent for sorting a health problem out.

Unfortunately my experience with Mr Murty was not a positive one. After spending £1500 I was left no better off.I ended up making an appointment with a different doctor who in the first appointment got me sorted out and at half the price.Mr Murty advised scans that I have since found out were not necessary . I would advise anyone to think before visiting him. Not HappyI am now forced to add a revision to my review as you will see the reply which has been left by the secretary who just so happens to also be his wife. A statement which is completely untrue. I asked for extra procedures to be done not knowing at the time that that this doctor is incomptent.

My son had been suffering from ENT illnesses for years and was struggling at school as a result of this. Mr Murty was able to quickly diagnose and rectify the issue with an operation and I'm pleased to say that my son has made a full recovery and is now excelling. Mr Murty has been amazing and I would recommend him to anyone suffering from ENT issues.Thank you Mr Murty and team.

I had a swollen tonsil and the NHS refused to see me. I booked in with Mr Murty without hesitation. I was given an Endoscopy at my initial consultation and Mr Murty advised my tonsils should be removed to run a biopsy and to be sure it was nothing 'nasty'. I turned up to my appointment at the Nuffield in Leicester and was treated like Royalty. On arrival, I was shown my room, food order was taken and I was advised of the process. Mr Murty and Dr Powell (anaesthetist) explained the whole process and made me feel at ease. Despite being 29 at the time, this was my first operation and I didn't know what to expect.The operation went swimmingly and I was never rushed to leave. I left on my own accord and considering I had just had my tonsils out, I had a KFC the same night. This is testament to Mr Murty. During recovery I had a question about a small bleed but Mr Murty spoke to me straight away and reassured me it was just the scab coming off.After two weeks I had my results consultation and was given the all clear. Mr Murty had a big smile on his face as did I.I'd like to thank Mr Murty and all staff involved for everything. I wouldn't hesitate to use this amazing team again!

I wouldn’t normally leave reviews but I am making an exception on this occasion. I want to thank Mr Murty for his kind, understanding and caring expertise that has helped myself and my daughter (my balance & my daughters recurrent tonsillitis issues).Never have I met a more kind and caring consultant with all the knowledge and expertise he holds to add to the service we have received. Thank you Mr Murty and your office staff for a second to none care and service throughout. I would recommend Mr Murty to anyone with ENT issues. ⭐️

After years of visits to our local GP for our little boy with reoccurring tonsillitis, we made an appointment with Mr Murty. I can’t recommend Mr Murty enough!!!! The treatment given to our 5 year old boy was wonderful and as a parent it made the whole process pleasing and reassuring. Our boy is thriving now and the recovery process was quick and simple. You can rest assured you’re in safe hands. Thank you Mr Murty for the care you and your team have provided to our son. We wish you all the best for the future.

I had the unfortunate experience many years ago of Mr Murty's expertise ending up with a septal perforation after a revision septoplasty. He did the first one which was messed up so had a second attempt. He wasn't honest with me and blamed me for pressurising him into doing the revision. The only way I knew what had happened was from another ENT consultant. Unfortunately at the time I didn't have the financial means to sue him.

Had an appointment with Dr Murty last week, this morning I called to ask will I get a consultant report (been required by another doctor), the reception lady immediately laughed after I said that, she said it’s only a few days and was really impatient and laughed at me again when I asked her about the time frame. She could just said something like “you will receive it by email within xx working days”. That was rude and not professional, I hope you can improve on this.

Excellent service. Mr Murty is brill ! Really helped me. Worth every penny. Service is top class. Will be using them again thanks.

A truly exceptional consultant. From the first appointment at the clinic I was very confident in his expert knowledge and within a few months the surgery was completed and I’m already feeling much better.All staff at the clinic polite and friendly and my day trip to the Nuffield was also as good as it gets.As a 29 year old I was fed up of waiting for the NHS so it was worth every last penny of what I’ve spent.Thank you all once again. Would highly recommend to anybody of any age with an ENT problem.
