We stayed here and ate here! The team, the chef, the food, the room, the location - all fantastic!In the restaurant, the specials board was just filled full of amazing dishes. The chef, a lovely Romanian guy has been cheffing (is that a word) for over 35 years and it shows. The team, also Romanian are super attentive and friendly, no stuffiness here, just lovely people and great food!Definitely stay here and eat here!

A really lovely situation. Painswick is stunningly beautiful. The instructions were clear. The room was nicely laid out. A suggestion is to add an easy chair for those travellers on business who don't wish to sit on the bed. Unfortunately no Hairdryer in the room but everything else was fine. TV has freeview channels and some streaming apps. I was a little disappointed that the restaurant was closed during my stay as it had been a condition of booking. No one begrudges owners having a proper break but I wish I'd been able to see that before booking rather than in a follow up email. Thanks for the hospitality. The room was absolutely quiet and I slept well.

Had an early meal with friends, The Bistro is nice , We all had starter I have the Scallops very very disappointing for £12 I actually had to ask the lady if she had got it right , The scallops were literally the size and thickness of a ten pence piece literally smothered in salad and sauce with tiny prawns . Very slow service the poor lady by herself , My steak was ok but really hate going to so called posh places and they do oven chips,

Food was amazing ! I had the talubut fish with veggies ! So fresh and tasty! My husband had the fillet steak done to perfection! Highly recommend for dinner, the hostess/owner is lovely, the restaurant interiors is cute and quant!

Great rooms we stayed in the rococo room .Could have done with extra pillow but thats just me lol ....Had food in the restaurant absolutely lovely great service too .

After calling in for a coffee on a random visit to Painswick, we were so impressed we booked for a meal a few weeks later. Service and menu did not disappoint. Our friends agreed. The food selection is more interesting than usual and was excellent quality. It's obviously got a good reputation as they were fully booked and were turning people away in the evening. We will be going back even though it is not local. Thoroughly recommended.

An incredibly high spec place to stay. Very comfortable and beautiful room with top notch en-suite. Everything about the stay felt well thought through and well managed. The breakfast was utterly fabulous with so much to choose from and of a high quality (dietary needs were catered for with ease and care). Will very much be looking to go back to stay again soon, this time for dinner too!

Absolute paradise. Simply the best B&B we have stayed in. Beautiful location, such a gorgeous room, the breakfast was so delicious. The hosts so friendly and professional. Such a relaxing ambience.
