We visited this lovely pub on a Sunday afternoon, were the only people there. Great beer selection including Harvey's Best Sussex Bitter. Great service, pub is so old that it gives an extraordinary feeling. Very charming. Have an open fire which should be amazing in winter. Great wine selection, very cozy pub

Traditional rustic pub - the best in Winchester. Jan and Ruth are fantastic landlords. Great beer selection. If you want to eat, you can get takeaway delivered. Lots of great live music. Sea shanties sang down in the cellar second Friday of the month.

Lovely old pub with a real open fire, low ceilings, varied bitter / ale offering, friendly staff and an arrangement that you can order and eat your takeaway for a small charge. Looks much nicer on the inside. Definitely worth a visit

A great find. A small, quiet and friendly pub with a good selection of beers. I believe there was food available, but we were only there for drinks and a catch up with friends so didn't explore this option. Recommended.

Wow. The charm of this place. As you enter you need to duck your head due to the age of the 16th Centuary old pub. Uneven floors, large beams and beautiful timber surrounds the interior. If you come to the UK you must come here. Winchester is surrounded by history and charm and for me - an absolute delight to discover this (arguably the oldest) pub. Don’t miss out.
