James Man and Van

Avoid!!! Took my money without delivering a service then refused to give back the deposit. Unprofessional, unreliable, lack integrity.They don’t use their own people; they hire external men with vans to alleviate themselves of any responsibility. We arranged to have my items delivered at 1pm by 5pm the driver was “still on the way.” Apparently this was because James Man and Van was using a freelance driver who was on a different job. By 3.30pm my storage facility had closed and I could no longer receive my things.I requested and was charged for 2 men at £300 plus bed assembly; I was only given 1, who could not carry my items. When I brought this up, they said “it doesn’t require 2 men” - neglecting safety of the man who was to carry a 2m long sofa. The worker also had no idea he was to assemble a bed and hadn’t the tools or knowledge to do it.Basically a scam. They were very responsive up until I paid the deposit, and then all communication stopped. They wouldn’t pick up the phone and left me in the lurch. I had to call off another number just to get through and the night before, I get a text at 2 am from their employee saying he needed to speak to me urgently.I had seen the positive reviews on Facebook but they are absolutely not true. Please save yourself the hassle. I don’t recommend at all.

Really lovely guys ! Moved all my belongings and definitely using them again to move everything because of how quick and easy the process was !!
