Telford Makerspace

I took my son (3/4 yrs old) to Makerspace to learn how to do some woodwork as he loves to play pretend saws and drills etc. He got to cut the wood with a saw, drill the pieces together and sand it all down (supervised and heavily assisted), he enjoyed every second and he was so proud of his planter. We would definitely come again to learn some more. Everyone was so friendly and happy to help him learn and create.

Telford Makerspace were very welcoming and extremely flexible to our needs, going above and beyond to include and support my autistic son as well as my home educated son so they could both enjoy the experience and accommodating our higher risk with good ventilation and outside spaces . My sons throughly enjoyed making their wooden planters especially getting to try power tools which they they were supported and shown how to use safely , so coming away proudly with their finished product and several new skills, that they can use in the future. We would love to attend again either exclusively as we did or in a small group.

Telford Makerspace is run by very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers, They have a wide range of equipment available and several areas/rooms (although some of them are still works in progress at the moment).

Wonderful knowledgeable people that are always happy to lend a hand and offer advice. It's an enthusiastic space that will inspire all generations in creating makers, repairs and tinkerers. I'm very happy to say that I'm a member!

Telford Makerspace is a valuable hands-on tool for the Home Ed as well as local community. It enables children and (adults) to enhance their life skills and have a go at using equipment that they might not have day to day access to. It is ideal for those who want to learn on the job and is run by friendly, knowledgeable and competent volunteers. We have been in its infancy and would like to return at some point in the future. Great little resource to have and highly recommended for all.

Love doing stuff at Telford Makerspace. Just in the process of building a bedside cabinet out of pallet wood. Made a clock earlier.

I cane and learnt how to make a bat box and have made some other things there, it was overall a great experience!
