Shocking service!!! Was discharged from mental health hospital and was told would be given a worker and some access work within a few weeks at the worst stages of my mental health and ringing them 14 times and even going in face to face over a three month period all I keep getting is that my worker isn't available and they will give me a call! I blame this service for lack of any support to people with mental health if anything they make it worse! Like running into a brick wall when you want support

Was moved around a lot when I first got referred. There was a big shakeup and my care has been reasonably consistent since then. Psychology was great, very flexible and understanding. They dealt with covid very well, transferring to phone appointments whenever possible which was very comforting because my partner is at risk. Definitely room to improve but the staff are very caring and considerate.Update. Rang for advice for crisis care and was told just to manage. Partner tried to advocate on my behalf and they refused to tall to her or ring her back. Rang the crisis team, the call and immediately hang up and now they are closed....

worst place on earth for support. cpn worker never calls back. you can tell the staff here haven't taken a job up in mental health because they want to help, they've taken it up because its less physical than others. lazy, uncaring and impertinent.

If you want to be even closer to suicide you know who to choose. They don’t call you back in a time of crisis. They leave you months without any level of care. They make care plans that you can’t put in place as when you’re with them your gp won’t speak to you. They leave you months without support.Bottom line is they’re unhelpful and send you round on phone circles thill you give up or they say they’ll call you back.Waste of resources. I’m pretty sure someone is embezzling the funds that should be used to care for their patients.

My experience of this service is nothing short of terrifying.I have a diagnosis of bpd, adhd, severe depression, anxiety and cptsd. I have had multiple suicide attempts ( one which left me in a coma for 5 days and I regularly self harm)My bpd diagnosis was never fully explained to me , I was just given the diagnosis and was sent on my merry way. Both my family and myself ring constantly for support only to be told there is no one available or i never get a call back. All they offer is more and more medication, I'm currently on 11 tablets a day . My talking therapy only made me worse and was not tailored towards my bpd , which effects me the most on a daily basis. I was made to feel I was putting up obstacles to hinder my recovery. I'm literally begging for support! I was criticised for doing my own research on bpd , but what am I supposed to do if the service who are supposed to help me didnt even expain it to me. I implore people to keep making noise to push forward and implement change. We are vulnerable, we need help and the service is failing us !

I would give a 0 star if there was an option. I am appalled at the level of support provided to my brother. The service has been involved for 3 months and my brothers health has deteriorated. They have done nothing brother. This service is failing mental health patients

It is an excellent service run by caring professionals who could earn packets more in private clinics. They don't work on them because they care. I agree that negotiating such services is difficult and it's easy to be suspicious. Opening up is the hard part.I have now come to trust them and the barriers have been broken down. They have our welfare at heart. You have to appreciate they operate in a much bigger system bound by laws which restricts them. It is much better than if you went overseas and better than any private therapist I have seen thus far. They don't dress it up either which is good theas endit saves time. It often feels like more that we deserve. In the end they want you to be better but have to want to be better too and their is a model for that. You have to take responsibility yourself too, failing to read, drinking, smoking, snorting and then blaming others is shifting responsibility and NOT ON. You have to work with them. Life is hard and it feels unfair. Saying sorry and admitting to being wrong is the hardest thing to do.CHANGE STARTS AT HOME. Take some responsibility for your actions.

My son has been under Northlands for many yrs and at this point he may as well be UNDER NORTHLANDS" . They are as useless as a chocolate tea pot. The HELP they claim to give does not happen at all. I am disgusted
