Great pizza express restaurant. Service is very good and food as expected from Pizza Express. Well presented and tastes great.Kids menu is great and I really recommend downloading the App which allows you to split bills, use freebies and pay without waiting.The only downside here at the moment is all the roadworks going on and the lack of parking. I prefer to park down the road at the football ground buts its not the best and poorly lit.But worth the effort to come here, evrryone enjoyed their food. This Pizza Express is situated in an old building with lots of internal characters and features.Welcoming staff with note going to the Italian waiter who was just lovely.Food was excellent.

Food was really tasty and hot (once the correct food was given to my table!) The service was slow and abysmal. Was there for over 2 hours and most of that was waiting for drinks, the desert menu and the final bill. Staff seemed very stretched but when you had a waiter/waitress it was very pleasant.The music was far too loud which meant everyone else was overtaking the music and then it was just a very loud place to have a good family meal.Parking was also atrocious, no clear spaces outlined and people just parked in any open space even blocking cars in.

Great service, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, came to take our orders and cleared our tables at just the right times. Great food, it was very tasty and cooked well, the food came quickly for our table of 6. Would definitely recommend

Lovely place, customer service and delicious food ALWAYS! Only flaw being the parking has always been difficult, think they originally underestimated just how popular the location would be! :-) service is very prompt too and food is always warm. 10/10Maybe consider a new lacquer of paint soon though in some areas.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. The service was friendly and quick. The acoustics of the building made it sound like being in a cafe (we were sat close to the chef station). Food was disappointing. My diavolo pizza was not crispy, it was soggy to the extent that it couldn't be picked up after being cut into 8 single slices. My partner had the crab arancini which was very bland. Pizza express has lost its edge in the cheap chain restaurants race, I'd much prefer a zizzi and even then wouldn't eat without a discount.

Went here yesterday for a nice meal out, it was very empty when we arrived so we were greeted and seated quickly. I noticed my knife was a little dirty so swapped it for another knife on the table. Service was fine, speedy, they were missing some food items which was a shame. Doughballs were lovely and hot, and the American pizza with pepperoni and ham was lovely, however I started to feel quite full and uncomfortable midway through the pizza so had to stop eating and get it in a to go box, which was fine. Left the restaurant still not feeling 100% but chalked it up to trapped wind. Roll on 4am, and I'm in the trenches, vomiting, diarrhoea, chills, the works. Still have nausea, chills and diarrhoea now, writing this review. Unfortunately I won't be returning, completely put off. Will still have pizza express, just not at this restaurant. Not worth the risk and I feel awful. Also it was quite uncomfortable to hear the manager discussing incorrect orders and how to store things etc super loudly while we were eating. Such a shame as have been here in the past and it was lovely. The 2 star rating is primarily with regards to the suspected food poisoning post visit.
