Khublai Khan Mongolian Barbecue
We sat in because Google had tried to take us to a closed place down the street. We were offered the full festive menu of unlimited barbecue for £30 per person as our only option. We had an hour to go to our show so we didn't want to sit and spend forever there so we asked for something less. When our waitress eventually came back for our starter selections, she informed us that we could get a pre-theater dinner, which we chose because it was only £20 per person and seemed like it would fit into our limited time. Soup starters eventually came out, she seemed disconcerted when we got up to go get our barbecue because she hadn't cleared our empty bowls after a few minutes, and she didn't bother to clear our empty barbecue bowls when we had been done quite a bit of time. When we finally got her attention, she informed us dessert came with it and we ordered cheesecake to go so we could make our show. After ten minutes I finally stood up and paid the bill so we could leave but we never got our cheesecake. Even if it didn't come with it, we ordered it and never got it. The soup was really good, though, and the cook didn't overcook our fish so well done there. Had we had better service, it would have been a higher rating.

Absolutely the most mouth-wateringly inventive dining experience available in Glasgow. I'd been looking forward to visiting for years after hearing so many good reports, and I certainly wasn't let down in the slightest. Amazing friendly staff, excellent beer choices (including a rare Innis & Gunn LAGER too, which was served in a gigantic chilled 4 pint tower for the lads in the group). If you're not open to interesting spice combinations, exotic meats and general FUN, then you'll probably be absolutely terrified of the food.I say FACE YOUR TERROR and snap up the crocodile (which cooks at the same speed as the rabbit, so it can be combined) with a lovely Thai style coconut curry sauce. YUM!

This is a particular favourite of mine always return when in Glasgow. A place with a varied choice of meat from zebra to seafood. You can explore many different flavours and make your own dishes. Not to mention delicious cocktails!

You don't come to a barbecue expecting high cuisine, and you don't get it here. What you do get is good, wholesome food, well-cooked and presented, a near-infinite variety of sauces and seasoning and helpful and friendly staff. We have been going for years and have just introduced our four year-old who now says that we're not to go anywhere else again.

Great place to experience, but once the meat is cooked it tends to be tough because they seem to cook everything the same amount of time regardless of how thick/thin it is.Excellent variety of everything you could image though, meat, sauce, and spices. In that respect its really good!Great as a dining experience, personally I won't be repeating it as its rather expensive and as I mentioned previously it was kind of tough.

One of my favourite restaurants in Glasgow but, to get the most out of it, you need to go slow and be prepared to experiment with your own combinations. Not advised for large groups in a hurry but great for small groups and couples who are looking for a relaxed evening out.

Totally wonderful experience. Starter of Kangaroo haggis was lovely. Good selection of things for our main course. Only slight negative was that we didn't get asked if we wanted a second drink.

I went to KK (Glasgow) with my partner on a friday night, we initially tried to book a table at 7pm but they were unable to fit us in at that time and asked if 8:30pm would be suitable for us. This was of course reasonable for us but apparently, as we discovered, not for the staff. From the moment we arrived we felt rushed and badgered about our dining experience, one older gentleman among the waiting staff was pleasant but the rest were completely unhelpful, none were out and out rude but there was a general feeling of unprofessionality and unwelcomingness from them. It was a friday night and I can understand the young members of staff hoping for an early finish but I feel it severely, negatively impacted our dining experience, when the young man amongst the waiting staff brought over my third bowl of food and forgot to bring my token back I can't help be suspicious that this was a deliberate attempt to speed up our exit.I'd been to KK twice before and never experienced that kind of attitude from the staff. Their new layout of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired also. The previous layout had moody, atmospheric lighting and an interesting mishmash of items on the wall. This new layout has the stark, brightly lit atmosphere of a dining hall and a picture of a confused dragon on the wall. When I'm heaving myself up for my 6th bowl of food I want some darkness to hide my shame I don't want it exposed under lights more suitable for an interrogation room.As for the food, the starters were average (as similar to previous visits) though half the things on the menu were unavailable, an unfortunate consequence of dining at the seemingly unholy hour of half eight. The BBQ was not up to it's previous quality, there was something I can't quite put my finger on that made the food less enjoyable coupled with the fact it seemed to take around 20-25 minutes to cook the food, a lot longer than previously experienced. The malteaser ice cream on the desert menu was excellent though and I highly recommend it though I feel sadly I will not be dining at KK again.

Can't fault the food, tasty chicken starter and the bbq feast was fun to do with the bonus of trying more unusual meats. I'd like to see a bit more space between the meats and the sauce/spice area as it was getting pretty congested with just a small number of people looking for their selection. The service let down our experience, we waited around 20 minutes for our starters, about the same for desserts and our 2nd drinks took ages as well. Finding a 10% service charge included in the bill was a bit galling after that!
