Westerfield

Bit plain and simple location no car parking nearby but you can get train to several locations along the east coast lines and also through to London via Ipswich

I normally head here if I am going to Felixstowe I then cycle back.The station is always clean and there is no litter, plenty of seating covered and open.It is a brilliant train spotting station too,my son and I used to come here a lot when he was younger and as a special treat we would jump on any train just for a ride.I had not been here for a while and there is now a lovely little garden and wildlife corner maintained by the local school which is a really interesting thing to take a look at whilst waiting for the train.There is also a couple of interesting buildings I guess one was once the level crossing keepers house and there is a fantastic wooden building adjacent which I would assume is the old station house.The station is well served by Ipswich Buses who run a service to Framlingham that stops here this also runs back into Ipswich.The trains here run to Lowestoft Felixstowe and Ipswich and even to London.The pub next door is called the Railway and there is another down the road called the Westerfield Swan within walking distance.There are also some very nice country walks here too.
