A small railway station on the Abbey Line.

A very bleak station which, thanks to it on the Abbey Line, has an awkward 'three trains per two hours-ish' frequency. Bare amount of seating, a ticket machine which only accepts card payments and a shelter which looks like a bicycle shelter with seats added in. Also doesn't look to be the best in terms of actually protecting you from the weather either. On the plus side, the station has step free access and the foot crossing nearby gives a good view of the platform. But other than that? Meh.

Great little station. It is unattended but has a ticket machine. It has s shelter for adverse weather. I used it for over a year to get to work Watford. This line does not accept Oyster cards.

If you want a train to Watford or St Albans Abbey and you're in How Wood then this is possibly the best place to come. If you're on a walk then you can cross the railway line and be on the river Ver very quickly and be in some lovely (if a bit damp at this time of year - January) countryside.
