Your Review: This is the worst hospital av experience ever for the staff mannerisms. I have never met such a bunch of rude people with no manner at all. Plus who look down and talk down to you. Am pretty sure that in all NHS Hospital they have sign on all walls about how staff should be treated with respect. Well sorry to burst your bubble but it would seem that the staff here need to go back to university to learn some good positive manner toward the people there caring for and for the authority that we are supposed to trust and feel comfortable with while in there care. It works both way. Very disappointed

Nasty service and disgrace to the medical field all over the world. Pathetic service and highly inefficient staff. They are efficient in doing autopsy. Cuz people coming to the emergency department die in pain. Even though they are not cared in treating them. There is no purpose in consulting a dead person. That's correct. Never faced such a pathetic situation anywhere in the world. Don't have the option to give negative stars. Disgrace to medical field. Waited for 6hrs to see the doctor for 2 minutes. Doctor asked to do the blood test, but have to wait for 3hrs more to do the blood test. Waited for 4hrs to consult 4 people in queue and the end result was 2minutes consultation. What these people were doing for the rest of the hours. Very much disappointed with the service. Total disgrace to the medical field. Never go to a hospital in UK. You will die in pain.

My wife attended the x ray department today for a scan. The staff were all brilliant, friendly and caring. The consultant who performed the scan was reassuring, friendly and professional.I would like to thank them all for the way they treated my wife.

What an awful and distressing experience my daughter had to endure on attending her anomaly early detection scan today ! Met with rudeness and no empathy on what should be an enjoyable experience, as it should be for any first time parents. Spoken to in such a rude ill mannered way, was rushed, endured nothing short of impatience and huffing and puffing. Not told anything about what was happening, huffed and puffed at being asked for a picture, and when asked for confirmation from her early private gender scan that it definately is a boy, to be told , i think i saw its a boy...and then to be told in the waiting area after her scan ( not in private) that her placenta has moved low but don't go home and google it !! Talk about causing distress and breaching privacy!! Was also told she would come back with a leaflet about it...didn't bother ! Horrific experience for her. Needless to say she will be going to a private scan for reassurance. . Whilst most in this role probably show kindness, its the odd bad apple that should reevaluate their approach to the job their in role !

I had the displeasure of visiting this hospital yesterday and can not believe that a facility as dilapidated as this exists in a first world country. It is truly horrific! Examples? You ask...How about dirty roof tiles, not just a little bit stained by age, actually dirty! How does the roof get that dirty!!Yellowing light switches, not yellowing from plastic being exposed to light for too long, no, that very obvious nicotine yellow staining, which should really drive home just how awful this is... How long has it been since people could smoke inside, let alone in hospitals!Walls, nasty although not necessarily unclean, just depressing and in disrepair. Also absolutely crammed with leaflets/staff or patient notices to the point that if you noticed the notice, you'd notice it wasn't worth noticing as it probably became defunct information in the 70s shortly after being put up.Windows, ancient and again, nastyVentilation? Nope, not for you... Just stale musty air...Handles looked like someone had once walked close to them with something that resembled a cleaning fluid.Seating, mismatched and random uncomfortable chairs with little padding and looked like they may have been wiped down sometime in the last month. This is not me having a go at the cleaners or staff who I'm sure do a mighty fine job, this is the facility as a whole! If this hospital was shown to me and then followed by, this is in a developing country, I'd still be of the opinion that it wasn't good enough but at least it wouldn't look out of place.I really cannot put into words just how bad the reality is and to be called a Royal hospital too! Were I a royal, I'd be ashamed to associated with this travesty of a building.Incidentally, the parking situation was also completely inadequate however, top notch ANPR systems, pristine pay points and very well marked bays almost as though the revenue generated from the parking facilities is more important than the patients health... But maybe that's the long term goal, if patients contract long term diseases from the nasty hospital... They'll keep coming back to pay for parking? Clutching at straws but it's about the nicest thing I can write about the whole experience! If you can avoid this hospital, absolutely do!

I visited RPH this morning , my face was all swollen turns out I’ve got a big abscess . The treatment I received was top class , the doctor who saw me was so kind,he gave me a prescription for penicillin and painkillers. I was seen pretty quickly . I was away from home just over an hour . I just want to say I big thank you to the doctor who treated me , and all the staff I came in contact with …… Thank you Ann

The doctors, nurses, triage and receptionists are all excellent. The processes that the managers have put in place are absolutely useless. The only progress is when staff inevitably go outside the process.

My daughter was unwell with fever and cough, so we went to Lytham Road GP, who told us that the child's heartbeat and temperature were high, so we immediately referred her to Royal Preston Hospital. It reached around 12 pm. After checking the body temperature twice and seeing the doctor once, they made us sit here saying that they will give medicine. No medicine for us till 3.30pm.I have never seen such a bad hospital in my life.Once or twice we have informed them that the child has not eaten yet and they keep saying wait.

Never been before, was referred to Plastics in Trauma clinic. This was 3rd building I tried. No check in, just fill in a form. Someone collected it then came and called us in. Burns nurse was lovely as was Burns specialist. Doctor wasn’t so much.Parking cost £3.50 for 1hr 10 mins :(Otherwise overall good service

Ok, so I wasn’t the patient. It was my son who had a dreadful accident and lost some of his fingers. The speed of admittance, care, surgery, aftercare has been nothing but exceptional. He is still being treated, but the care from consultants, surgeons, nurses, and auxiliaries etc has been excellent. Many, many, thanks. I can’t thank you enough. A brilliant hospital. Yes it’s big and a long walk to some part, but in my opinion that’s a plus that there are facilities for more people. Love you all
