We had the most enjoyable Christmas experience on the steam train today. Characters took their time to greet each family and made it a very special time for the children and adults. We all thought it a very reasonable price.

The North Pole Express at Foxfield Railway was incredible! There was great communication with Harry throughout, so the process of booking was made very smooth. All of the volunteers were so lovely and made the experience special for the children (and adults) for Christmas. Can’t wait to book again next year! Thank you :)

Nice heritage railway, cafe, toilets, museum and gift shop. Train journey takes about 40 minutes return trip through countryside. Restored engines, plenty of parking. Nice vintage carriages. They run special events throughout the year paying more restoration.

Lovely charity run service. Sadly, we chose to go on a really hot day. Although I had been in communication with a volunteer about disabled access for my father, my last email wasn't read, so I booked a compartment to ourselves as we had dogs with us too. It wasn't at the disabled entrance to train. Managed to get him on to our compartment, but it was occupied by another person, so a bit cramped and not quite what we hoped for. I would definitely recommend going a sweet little journey. But make sure you discuss access if you have disabled passengers.

An excellent example of industrial heritage preservation, with an obvious hint of grunge and ever ongoing restoration. This is a wonderful, small heritage railway to visit as a passenger and the Colliery can be visited on certain dates. A small cafe serves fresh home cooked hot and cold food with an outdoor area if the weather complies. A small bar is available and a museum of rolling stock and railway items is worth a visit. There are easy access toilets and two well sized free carparks with a children's outside play area. The volunteers and staff are very pleasant and it's a good value experience for the family visitor, steam fans and industrial preservationists! I recommend this small heritage line near Stoke on Trent.

Reviewing in the context of taking young kids to the Christmas event. It's our second year going, my kids loved it. You can take pictures with Santa and the other acts. I'd say it's more for kids who still believe in the magic of Christmas. As a rail and steam fan, seeing the steam engines is a bonus for me. Thanks to the volunteers who keep the place going.

We went to Foxfield by special arrangement for the memorial service of a good friend. We were made very welcome and everything went well from Foxfield's point of view. We had a great day on a sad occasion. Thank you to all for doing us proud.

Used to come here as a kid. Not been for over 20 years. Its like stepping back in time. £20.00 for a great day out. And was able to ride the trains all day.
