Hemsley Conservation Centre

I took my little one, and she loved it.It was not too busy, so we were able to see all the animals.She loved the otters playing and making lots of noise.We even had a quick bite to eat.The staff are very friendly and seemed like they actually wanted yo be there.I would highly recommend this place. it's great for the whole family

Absolutely love Hemsley. Not crammed full of people so get to spend longer looking at the animals. Get to talk with the keepers. Purchased the tapir and capybara experience for my child and they had the most amazing time. Would recommend to everyone, definitely worth a visit. The tearoom has good food at a reasonable price and makes it more of a day out.

The zoo is very cute and has lots of different animals. All the keepers are super friendly and helpful with any questions you may have on the animals.A great little gem to spend an afternoon.The cafe is super adorable and the snacks are great too!

Excellent small zoo. Really pleasant staff, great food. A nice selection of animals, including some more unusual ones, such as Geoffroy's cat and Aardwolf. The only small issue I have is the quality of the toilets, and some of the enclosures have quite limited viewing.

Visited here today , and had the loveliest time. The staff were all lovely and they had amazing animals , some that I had never even seen before. Really interesting place, and the keeper talks are really good too, and I overheard someone saying the animal experiences were really good too.Its not the biggest of places, but that was part of its charm , there was no rushing through. The food was really tasty , and suitably priced aswell. Definitely recommend this to others. This was my 1st time visiting and I was pleasantly surprised by just how great it was. Will be returning many more times in the future, I am sure. The otters, lemurs, tayras and ocelot were my personal favourites on the day .

I was amazed how much change on the place as I must have gone in 2015 when only a cafe and plants.We were greeted by friendly staff and George our guide came up to take us round.The animals were all so well kept and my little great niece and nephew loved it. We were well entertained for over the hour and George was very knowledgeable. After the tour we went for tea and cake and the food was delicious.After that we went around and watched the monkeys and Meercats playing. Tried to find the Mane Wolf but he was elusive. We missed feeding times though. The ring tailed lemurs were fun too. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic!Is small, but with a great diversity of animals to see.We did the Tapir and Capibara experience and had a great time, Adam guided us into the enclosure and gave us a pretty great explanation of the animals. You could see his passion for them, which was fantastic.We were very happy to contribute and support this small conservation centre.
