Nice relaxed site, lots of walking straight off site into the woods, lovely watching all the horses being groomed, walked in the woods. A cafe and bar on site, but we didn't use this so cannot comment on it. Pub just a short walk away, with lovely food and and very large outdoor sitting area. Spacious pitches. The facilities let it down, needs refurbishment, badly, camping site requires some TLC

As a horse mad 14 year old, I used to ride here many years ago, so much has changed since my last visit, I'm 33 now and sadly no longer ride, but my memory remembers all the lovely instructors and learning to ride outside! I definitely recommend this place! My favourite horses were Frank & Catkin (both probably aren't with us anymore!)

I have been riding here for over a year but have only stayed this long due to the instructors being good and a lack of nearby options. The customer service is awful and the owner is extremely rude and difficult to contact. Today, I tried to rearrange a lesson as I couldn't make the original time. After five calls over three days I eventually spoke to someone but was asked to ring back later. When I finally spoke to the owner I was told not to book lessons I couldn't attend and was called a liar when I said there wasn't an option to leave a message when my calls weren't answered. The horses also continually go lame. The outside arena floods very often due to their poor arena surface and the indoor arena is small, smelly and dingy.

My kids loved going out on a ride for the first time! The woman that led them out was really friendly and helpful. I don't remember her name, but she was young with dark hair in a plat

Loved it and I was on the biggest horse ever called Arnold but I love him and the teacher was really good with me cause I have mental health issues plus anxiety around new people and new places but I'll be going again.

Very disappointed.- over priced- unprofessional- unorganised- not very welcoming- okay at bestHowever,- lovely horses (faultless)- nice hackingThe only reason they made it to 2 stars is because of the horses.I booked in a semi private lesson over 2 weeks in advance. The night before the lesson was supposed to happen I get a call from the stables to say that they suddenly can't do the original hour as planned and try to reduce it to half an hour instead. Bear in mind that for half an hour it's £20 each and an hour its £27 each. I personally don't see much point in just half an hour so I try and rebook for a later date so we could still have the hour as I originally wanted. Also when on the phone to the woman who helped me with rebooking she said something about how I should've given them 24 hours notice, despite having only been given less then 20 hours notice myself so I wasn't happy at all. However It get rebooked eventually.Onto today...We were ready for what should've been a lesson, parked up in the very small car park, had a look around and had no idea where to go. We walked down what we had to assume to be the way to the office, asked someone where we should go and still went the wrong way. However we did find a lovely woman that had to inform us that she didn't work there because she turned out to be more professional, welcoming and informative then anyone else. Here's the disappointing point that I've been trying to get to-At the office we were told that yet again their instructors were too busy for our lesson and was told that if we still wanted to ride that we would have to go out for a hack instead (£25 each)The girl that escorted us around the woods; I assume didn't work there, she only spoke to us to ask if we wanted to trot about 3 times total and went on her phone. It was only after we got back that I said thanks and learnt her name.Over all... the horses were super but the staff could've done better. If kirkfirlds would like to contact me to discuss this further I would be happy to. My email should be attached or I assume you still have my phone number. Thanks
