I come from London. My daughter and her husband hired this company to do the food for their wedding In Sunderland. I was a bit nervous about it because I didn't even know they had Caribbean cuisine up North.Well even though its about nearly 4 weeks ago I just had to write this review. The food EVERYTHING was ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT 5*I would recommend this company their food was BRILLIANT.THANK YOU SO MUCH GWARN JERK. You made my daughter's wedding so memorable with the food. People are still coming to me today talking about it.WELL DONE.

My husband and I are frequent customers of Gwarn Jerk and the service and food is always a 10/10. Gwarn Jerk recently catered for our Caribbean/English wedding of 150 guests. They delivered a punctual and delicious buffet for all guests and there was more than enough food to go around. All our guests could not stop praising the food. We were heard as bride and groom you would not feel like eating on your wedding day- well the food was too delicious And we finished our plates! If you are in the North East, or even if you are further out, Gwarn Jerk is well worth a visit! Thank you again to Natasha and the amazing team!

Decided to try this out on a whim and was not disappointed! Small menu but great flavours and the dumplings were exactly how I like them. Reminds me of being little and going ro see my jamaican grandparents. Would highly recommend

Friendly people serving homely food.Went for the three meat combo box with curry mutton, oxtail and jerk chicken. The chicken was nice and made me wish I went for the jerk pork. At £20 it’s not too bad and will leave two people just about full.It’s the first time I’ve had oxtail and it probably isn’t for me as it’s bony without the quality of lamb. The mutton was nice though.The dumpling, mac and cheese, plantain and rice and peas were all average.It’ll scratch an itch if you want Caribbean food. I would like to try the passa passa fries and pork but I’m not in a hurry to return.

Amazing little find in Felling, we happened to stumble across it and thought we’d give it a shot. Unreal food and so flavourful. I had the curry mutton and fried chicken. Luckily for me, they were preparing some fresh fried chicken on the day! The curry mutton was the perfect balance of spice and flavour. There was only a one man band when we went but even so, he made sure to be attentive as possible whilst cooking and taking orders in the background. I wish you guys lots of success!! ❤️

Ordered from here since it first opened and just had to leave a review after my food tonight as it was so nice I want it all over again tomorrow. I get the combo box 3 meats fried chicken jerk chicken and curried mutton. Their jerk pork is amazing too. Jerk gravy , Mac and cheese , rice and peas plantain veg and a dumpling for less than £25. If you want authentic caribbean food with a good variety then definitely try this place . Thanks guys!

Honestly some of the best food you will ever have, the food is truly amazing and the mac and cheese has just blown me away. I highly recommend a visit for a large combo meal!!
