I normally sit in Hs cafe and have a sweet tea after walking back from my mums. Friendly service great food for a cafe with decent portions At reasonable cost. Nice strong tea

I've been here many times over the years at all different times of the day and always get a friendly welcome followed by a great breakfast or lunch.They seem to have a good core of locals who use the cafe for there lunches and are very well looked after by the girls and boys front of house.All in all this is a great cafe and not much else can be said !!

It's exceptionally no frills. Completely standard fry up food with instant coffee or tea. It's kind of nice that this old fashioned type of cafe is still running in Brighton but really the good isn't great enough to really make it worth a visit in my opinion and it's not all that cheap. Nothing terrible, just not particularly nice. Food doesn't seem fresh or well cooked. The atmosphere is austere and the service competent but not especially warm.

Had a Breakfast egg and fried bread were OK, but the sausage , bacon and black pudding were very over cooked.I would go back and try again as the lads I was with said it's normally better

Eat here on average once a month but would eat more but isn’t good for my waistline!Good breakfast and a nice selection of other meals is always available. Nice quality products and always friendly staff.Would recommend this cafe to anyone.

How it goes. We could only have a coffee here, we happen to be visiting and vegan. Warm welcome but nothing showing on menu and the lovely person serving asked us if we could have eggs (?).It's how it goes. Actually after a weeks holiday here I'm chuffed places like this still exist, it's very real classic old style cafe, plenty of work folk on our Saturday visit and there was some great banter / spirit all around. Sure if they could have a set vegan brekkie option with ingredients they already have then great. But places like this are disappearing fast and need supporting

Went this morning for breakfast after moving in not far away. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced for what you get; exactly what was needed after a long day moving and before a long day cleaning. Will definitely go back again for breakfast in the future.
