A great Micropub with a fantastic selection of real ales. Ralph the landlord is also a talented musician and regularly belts out the odd tune or two. Well worth a visit if you are on Mapperley Top.

Love this place. A good selection of beers and ciders which changes regularly, it's dog friendly and the owner is really personable and you can tell he enjoys being there.

Far and away the best pub in Mapperley Top, even with the limited opening hours. When we went there last, it was a two to one human to dog ratio, and dogs would take it in turns to check you out for a fuss. I didn't learn any of the people's names (I'm sure they were nice too) but Dexter, Estelle, Basil and Poppy were excellent company. A cosy space with a brilliant owner, and an inclusive community vibe. Perfect.Edit: I forgot to mention Bear, the pub dog. Sorry, Bear

First time here - Lovely bar with a great feel. Addition of “Bear” the dog adds to the lovely atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

We had the best, unexpected night at the Blues Dawg, called in just passing, the atmosphere was fantastic, the owner/manager brilliant, staff so friendly, relaxed good fun night, great live music to sing a long to, it made my wife's birthday, thank you. We will definitely be back.

Great place, small but very welcoming and cozy.Dog friendly. Level access, outside seating in the warmer weather. Can higher the whole place for parties.

Love this place. Firstly, it’s good value. There’s a really nice ambience and the dog friendly welcome is exceptional.Having a live musician play makes this place a really nice place to spend some time chilling and enjoying!Tip for dog owners, they have £1 charity dog treats at the bar which you can even pay for on your card and they put the pound in for you.This is now my regular haunt!
