Possible one of the friendliest places to visit locally. Rockey and his wife Ruth are wonderful hosts, when allowed to open. Value for money hire of the venue and all that it offers. Please support as I try to you local treasures.

This is a superb location for any celebration! The grounds are extensive and well maintained. Dave Rockey is our first port of call when booking a party and what a top bloke he is, so helpful and friendly. Thank you for a smooth transaction and I hope more people make use of such a magnificent building with such character.

Went to a crafting session, which is held on the 1st Saturday of each month. Every Friday, they run a cafe, and they also run bingo, but I'm not sure what evening

A beautiful setting, spacious gardens with raised beds. A fascinating old building for a community space, wedding. My son's football club presentation and barbecue was held here this year and it was terrific. I didn't realise how lovely it was x

A lovely old hall with a kitchen and toilets set in a nice garden managed by a friendly community association. It is the home of a model railway club and the base for the Exeter & District Model Enginners who are constructing a miniature steam passenger carrying railway. It is open for rides on the first Sunday every month and during other events held at the site. All welcome.

We recently played a gig for a 40th birthday party here and it was an awesome atmosphere. Really great venue with loads of parking, loos available and space to bring your own booze!

We attended an intimate little music gig here last night. The building and the grounds it stands in are really beautiful! Everything was clean and well organised and it is so wonderful that such a historic building is being used for the community and not wrapped up like a museum piece... I'd love to come back and spend a bit longer looking!

Easy to get to.Morrisons is close by.The cafe is open on Fridays 10amYou can buy coffees,teas,cakes and bacon baps.There is seating inside and outside.There is a larder at 10am so people who need food and stuff can come.There is no need for vouchers.It is a warm place where people can sit and have a free soup.Anyone interested in railways there is a railway club,bingo is held and a craft making sessions on the 1st Saturday of the month.You can go on a train on the 1st Sunday each month weather permitting.Volunteers needed please enquure

Lovely setting. My boy loves steam trains, and the guys at EDMES model engineers are so patient and encouraging to him, its lovely to see.
