My expectations of this school were exceeded. I felt very well looked after and they were always ready to help us with anything. I was very happy to be able to attend this school and we had the chance to work with different professional tutors in the film and theater industry, as they were different tutors I was able to learn the best tricks and skills from each person.Next level! :) I can highly recommend this education!

Such an amazing school! An individual approach to the student, a wealth of knowledge and a lot of different materials are just a few things that can be said about this school. I did a SFX course in September 2023. At the beginning of the class, theoretical knowledge is provided and there is a demonstration of the makeup technic used during the classes. Later, throughout the day, students practice their practical skills under the supervision of lecturers. Scarlett and Satinder have a wealth of knowledge that they are happy to share with students. I recommend it to anyone who is passionate by special effects makeup!

I do not have a bad word to say about CBMA. I did the 1 week casualty and character course to kickstart my journey in training to be a hair and makeup artist in the film industry and loved every second of it. The tutor Scarlet was so engaging and lovely and really made it an environment I felt I could excel in. I learnt so much about different products and what life is like on set and I cannot wait to go back for more training at CBMA. I’m so glad I chose to come to CBMA. It’s amazing being surrounded by tutors and mentors that are so passionate about the work that they do. I’m extremely grateful that after graduating Petar and Zorica encourage you to stay in touch and are always sending new job opportunities while allowing you to borrow what you need from the school. I have just completed the 4 week SFX Prosthetic course at CBMA, and I am going to miss this place!First of all, the Academy itself offers a great space to learn and train, in a very friendly (family vibes), creative environment. Zorica and Petar are super helpful, attentive, and just lovely people (:Under the tutorage of the mega talented Satinder Chumber, the prosthetic course takes you through everything from live casting, sculpting and moulding (both flat and on resin face ), right through to the production of your own two prosthetic silicone pieces.Finally, the last 2 days are application and painting of your x2 prosthetics.It’s a fast pace, incredibly informative and thorough course which teaches you every step and basic principles of prosthetic work. Students are from all levels, and Satinder is a fantastic tutor, generous with his time and knowledge to all.I have no hesitation in recommending the Academy for any aspiring MUAs, where you will learn all the skills you need to start or continue your journey into this profession!Absolutely LOVED it x

CBMA is such a welcoming place to learn and are great at preparing you for the working in the industry. Chrissy and the tutors are amazing and share a lot of knowledge about how to navigate this industry. Petar and Zorica really care for the students, making the academy a really comfortable place to learn and thrive as a make up artist.

I am from Italy and I completed the 4 month course at CBMA and I couldn't have made a better choice. The teachers have a lot of experience and they all come from the industry. CBMA is one of the best decisions I have ever made! I learnt so many incredible things here and was trained by the most fantastic tutors working in the industry including Jane Walker, Giuseppe Cannas and Laura Schiavo ! I loved every section of this course from wigs to prosthetics and fashion to script breakdowns, this course really does prepare you for everything you need to know stepping into the industry as a trainee. I am lucky enough thanks to this course , Christine, Hilary , Petar and all the great tutors and class mates to now be working as Hair and Makeup Trainee on Paddington 2. Is one of the best Academy I have experienced ,Professional teachers with full patience, good atmosphere, helpful , great service during your lesson . It was definitely worthy to fly from the Netherlands to London for 4 week cours Special effects and prosthetics . Highly recommend ! I did a week long barbering course at CBMA. I really enjoyed my time there and the knowledge i now have makes me more employable within the film and tv industry. I loved meeting the tutor, who was fun but full of useful information and tips. The staff were so lovely and kept me topped up with tea & coffee. I would definitely recommend the accadamy and i will certainly be back for more training.
