Used Handy Lads to repair some brickwork above our front door. Very happy with the service from start to finish. Good communication, friendly guys and very knowledgable. Will be using for any future work.

All started fine when we first met Resh Mohangee seemed very charming and came across like your best friend, he is infact a good sales man with lots of banter and front. After agreeing his quote for a knock through load bearing wall to form a kitchen diner, he said him and his team would turn up and start work at 8am on 6th April 2021, they turned up at 10am and Resh (the company directer and boss) did not have a clue on what materials were needed for the job, even though he had weeks before hand to measure up and source materials, he asked his employee what was needed and just like that they were all gone again, they actually came back at 2pm, his employee who was going to fit the steel, stayed till 4pm preparing the wall, and then Resh turned up and said we'll be back in a couple days once the steel has been made, this went on for another three weeks, turning up around 10am and dissapearing for materials and then coming back around 2pm til 4pm. , the whole job should of taken 3 to 4 days if he and his team were there from 9 to 5 and came prepared with all the materials. We made a big mistake towards the end when we paid him all the rest of the money for the job, and just like that he went and did not return and left me to finish the job and make good, Resh then proceeded to send me rude and very un proffesional texts. I asked him to fix the problem after he put steel in, my floorboards dropped alot and become very bouncy, he shrugged it off, so i tried packing under the floorboards myself with some compositte slates he left, he said because i did that he will not send me a guarentee , even though Handy Lads fitted the steel incorrectcly and used a shorter rsj than supposed to , the padstones they fitted were not level and he did not follow the structural engineers plans which we paid for from a proffesional. Now me and wife fear that one day the ceilings and wall above may come down, we have 3 small children and stress over this every night and day.They also left us without any kitchen lights for nearly two weeks, wasnt ideal cooking in the dark. Do not trust HANDY LADS and do not let them anywhere near your home and do not trust Resh Mohangee, hes a nasty piece of work and would just take your money and run. We made 3 massive mistakes 1-choosing handy lads, 2-not getting Building control involved and 3-giving him all the money near completion.Resh Mohangee just dont care that it is your house and your paying him, he ignores if theres any problems during the job if your not happy with and he simply blames you.Handy Lads take all the fun out of any home improvements, they just create stress and worrys. Its no wonder that Checkatrade dont want to list Handy Lads with profesional builders.This is my familys experience with this man. Me and my wife just cannot believe just how much stress and heart ache Resh Mohangee has put us through.
