Newborn Smiles

Nicola's work is absolutely beautiful, we can't recommend her enough! We have been so delighted with our work that we have asked Nicola to photograph our family three times now! Nicola has the most wonderful friendly and professional manner, she is one of those people that you instantly warm to. Nicola is hugely patient and managed to settle our restless babies to capture precious images that we will treasure for life.

We were lucky enough to get some photos of Seb done when he was just a few months old and they are absolutely wonderful.As a same sex couple, for us it is really important that we feel at ease when we are doing something as a family, particularly taking photographs as there are usually intimate moments throughout the shoot (we have had friends who have had some awkward experiences in the past). Nicola was fab and we were at ease from the moment we met her. We would urge any same sex couples looking for a new born shoot to put Newborn Smiles at the top of your list!More generally, Nicola was fantastic, Seb slept through most of the shoot even with moving him around to take different shots. We had to stop a few times for Seb to feed and Nicola was just brilliant, it was so relaxed and a really lovely environment to have photos taken.The shoot was extremely collaborative - although we took Nicola's lead throughout and as expected, she had some fab ideas. Needless to say, we ended up with some wonderful photos that we absolutely love and will cherish forever. Thank you so much Nicola, we are so glad we came to you to have our photoshoot!

I would highly recommend newborn smiles, we took our 3 year old along to the shoot hoping to get our first family photo as a family of 4. He flat out refused to have his photo taken - breaking a tired mummy’s over emotional heart! He wanted to play with the toys instead. Nicola suggested trying again when we came to collect the prints rather than pushing him. When we came back we managed to get our family photo. And Nicola sent it over to us straight away the same morning.

We was fortunate enough to be able to have a shoot while our baby was still new born. It’s surprising how much they change in the later weeks/months/years.Nicola was a great host and made us feel as ease. We had a variety of shots taken from her ideas and a few of our own.I have would gladly use Nicola again if we are blessed with another baby.

We couldn’t recommend Nicola enough! From the moment we arrived at the cozy studio in Chester to excitedly opening the images we had purchased we received the best customer service. Nicola has such a friendly approach to her business and managed to capture some amazing images of our baby boy! Newborn photography really is a once in a lifetime experience and we are so delighted we didn’t miss it!

Having missed the chance to do a newborn shoot as my girls were 9 months and 3, Nicola kindly agreed to do a shoot with them. We were delighted with the results. Nicola is great; the children really warmed to her and were relaxed and found the whole experience fun. She captured some really special moments and all of their personalities. She even managed to get great shots of them both together, which is no mean feat as anyone who has ever photographed children will know.
